Me too. Im still upset at Klinsmann for leaving the team at the end of the WC. It should be a great olyimpics this year.

YES!! GERMANY!!
Christiano Who? Now he can go home and we dont have to hear about him and his supposed awesomeness anymore. He really was shut down for most of this game and after the first half was a non-factor.
Germany with a solid game, they had a couple of defensive breakdowns, but really showed their class in that game.
Portugal played fairly well, but near the end you could tell they were frustrated, Nanny and Merieles were just taking shots on goal from anywhere that werent going anywhere close, and the look on Big Phil's face said it all.
Portugal may have some gifted offensive players but their defense is brutal. The Germans absolutely tore the Portuguese defense to shreds.

Oh man, could you imagine if that Podolski shot from 40 metres had been on target? That was a bullet and he only missed by inches wide....that would have been beautiful.

that would have been icing on the cake for the germans..
it was a pretty even contest.. but 2 costly defensive error by the portugal defence.. dreadful.. conceding from set plays are the worst!
but I guess the germans have the height advantage in this game.. they look like giants out there compare to some portugal players.....

I cant believe its not on the highlight reel.
As for the height advantage, it just means that you have to mark tighter, and honestly P. Ferreira didnt and neither did Carvalho. Carvalho spent more time trying to score than playing defence.
