It's almost unfair to compare you browsing on your bb pearl with browsing on the iPhone and you know it. Yes you may pay less now but with data rates dropping i'd still rather have the options that GSM gives you and the browsing experience on the iPhone. My only question now is whether to upgrade to 3G...

I agree that browsing on a bb and browsing on an iphone are hugely different. I've never been interested in a mobile device that gave me internet access before using an iphone. It's simply unmatched in my opinion.

I'm guessing screen size is not one of them ...

I know I'm being ignorant and fairly fanboy-ish. I'm not ashamed.

I'm confused by that blackberry image.. is the keyboard touch like the iPhone, and if so, is it always present? That's probably one of the better parts of the iPhone interface, the keyboard is on there when you need it.

Consumer Data Plan (must be added to qualified voice plan):
$30 - Unlimited Data (E-mail/Web), includes Visual Voicemail when subscribed to any voicemail service.

Enterprise Data Plan (must be added to qualified voice plan):
$45 – Unlimited Data with personal and corporate e-mail, web, includes Visual Voicemail when subscribed to any voicemail service.
My only other question I guess is can this data plan be added to any qualified voice plan, or just iPhone? Or will they announce new different data plans for other devices.

Well it seems like everyones been drinking the Steve jobs cool aid haha.

Well, I read somewhere (i think engadget) that in the states it is mandatory to be signed up for the data and voice plan (min 70$ a month). Now according to this info from howardforums, it looks like rogers and fido will follow our neighbors to the south. Now is it worth it is up to the buyer, but there is no way I am paying 70+ a month for a phone plant UNLESS tethering is allowed.

All the data you can use on the device presumably. I doubt it would include tethering at that price (maybe the corporate?).

Yeah I'm sure they'll require a $40 voice plan to go along with it, but I think I'll gladly pay.

Lol if it included tethering, that would be attractive enough for some to dump their existing Internet plan and just go with the 3G!

Since incoming texts are free on any plan, if you absolutely need to text you could always browse to Rogers' site on your iphone (using your data plan) and text through the website. Away you go, free texting.

wow, i'm not sure i can justify paying 40$ a month for calls (i don't really call people all that often. usually just text) 30$ for data and then another like 15-20$ for text messaging/voice mail/caller id/etc. That's 90$ a month. If that's the case i'm gonna have to pass.

Im hoping for affordable data data plans for non iphones, because I think the iphone is all marketing. I might even have to pick up an n95 if there is a good data plan.

Thats the thing i dont like about the iphone, the lack of 3rd party apps (although there are supposed to be many coming out)

If a messenger program is released why not just use that with unlimited data? This however also brings up another iphone shortcoming, the inability to run apps in the background.
