I don't get it... I get through (after many attempts) and when I click on the Download Firefox 3 link, all it does is take me to the Download Firefox 2 page.

They had some issues earlier, but I just tried again and it is really fast, so they must have fixed something.

And the 3.0 setup came down for me.

I've been using the beta/release candidates on Vista for a few months.

I just updated this browser and the only Add-ons it did find updates for were ones I don't use much (no-referrer, and another one I'd forgotten I even had) and Mouse Gestures. But there is another add-on which uses the exact same gestures, so I found the change seamless.

You must suck at the internet Jon.

I downloaded it and tab mix plus and IE Tab didn't port, but I found builds that worked.

If you currently are a user of the Internet Explorer browser and have the ability to change, I really recommend you take the opportunity today to try something else out. I try very hard to not get all high and mighty when it comes to many things in my life, but as a part-time web developer there are few things on this earth that enrage me more than internet explorer.

There are numerous free plug-ins for Firefox that allow you to customize the browser to work best for you. I currently have an advanced adblocker (great for blocking out banner ads and other annoyances), a download plug in that delegates all listings of downloaded files into a status bar to ease the clutter and an ftp client for easy file transfer.

All I ask is that you try. Until you do, I will be right here judging the hell out of you.
If you are a part-time web developer can you honestly tell me that pre-Firefox 3.0 browsers render webpages as nice as IE7 or even Safari for Windows? As a full-time web developer i am going to say NO. Besides cool little plugins like firebug, it doesn't match up yet, also it's a lot slower too.

i got a question, in the URL bar, when you type in like:
forum.

on the f it lists any URL that has a F in it.... how do you turn it off so if you type in forum, that when it auto completes it goes F...(completes) than (something)f(something) and so on.

maybe I do suck at the internet, why can't I find the add on that will give me the red squiggly line under misspelled words?

No addon required. Just go to Tools -> Options then click on the Advanced tab. It's right there in the middle.

Well safari flat out rules, so I won't even touch that one. IE7 is much better, but as of today 47% of my visitors are still using IE6 (averaged over several sites). In a perfect world people would all upgrade to the latest browsers, but it's quite obvious they do not.
