Do you guys ever need alternates? One of the two teams I play with doesn't seem to be putting a summer-league team together, so I'm looking for any other options to get in more ball during the next few months.

The SW team has 10 guys signed up full time, and one pretty regular spare player who comes out in any case. So far we have yet to be short male players but one never knows.

i got one slammed into my bottle
just uploading pictures now. I got sportsjunky, 4x4, rinkrat, chid, aeneas, banffgirl at bat. i did names in no particular order so that we dont know who is swinging and missing

Well I totally would've had the pink scarf tonight, however, our team WON it's SECOND game of the season by a count of 19-10... That's right. we've won two... Come on SW team. Get your acts together.

Booyah!
It helped that their pitcher was so timid he came out with a bicycle helmet on.
It was funny watching the defence try to adjust to me. Soon as I step up to the plate, they adjust for the lefty, and I smack it over the third baseman. Next AB, I ground out to first. Then a double right up the middle. By my last at bat, they just played a straight four man OF. They had no more clue where the ball was going than I did, lol.
Entire team contributed tonight. Special thanks to Kerplunk's mom, who threatened to cut off his food supply if he didn't get a hit to maintain our 7th inning rally. Who's coming out to cheer you on next week dude, your second cousin, twice-removed? 
And, as much as FireFly says she would deserve the scarf, she did beat out a double play, driving in a key run during our comeback!
And Redvan and I thank the rest of the team for making up for our shoddy defence in the IF...

No excuses from us buddy, next game we have to be better. I like how the three infield guys we have can play all three, I like mixing it up.
And of course there was that one inning in the game where we were getting spanked where we all played positions we had never played before and had a 3 up, 3 down.
Good effort tonight everyone, good teamwork. Hope it continues next game.
