Good for the cop. I dont think too many people are gonna miss an idiot who beats a baby to death.

Deoxyribonucleic Acid, for example... sounds impressive, right? But have you ever seen what happens if you put something in acid? It dissolves! If we had all this acid in our cells, we'd all dissolve! So much for the Theory of Evolution, Check MATE!

I can't imagine how messed up one has to be to beat an infant in the middle of a road.
The cop is a hero.

Just seen that story on WND next to one of a mother and her girlfriend torturing her five year old boy with cigarette burns:

It sounds like the man was messed up:
The suspect "had tunnel vision," said Stanislaus County sheriff's deputy Royjindar Singh, a department spokesman. "As people tried to intervene, to tackle him, he just went back to what he was doing. Anything and everything he could do to the baby, that's what he was doing."
My guess is some untreated mental condition. Still glad he's dead.

Reading the thread title was enough to disgust me, so I am not sure why I read the article. Very disturbing. It's heartbreaking to read about these kinds of things. You're always left asking why.

"When officers observed the assault taking place from the air, they decided to perform an emergency landing in a cow pasture near the road, police said."
Looks like they got there as quickly as possible. Too bad they couldn't save the life.

Sick and sad beyond words. Glad the officer shot him, but I hope the officer isn't traumatized for life because of this butt wad.

Yup and they better give him a medal for that..
Must have been tramatic for the cop to see a baby get beaten and then have to kill the guy.

I really wish these days the news would post more good news than these ######ed storys, WTF is wrong in this world anyway?
I'm 46 years old, I didn't think this was considered old but when I think of the cr@p that has gone on and has gotten much worst as i get older I think we should reinvent the free-love and hippy age. Worst thing that happened then was a fist fight and the odd STD. yeah the 70's had Charles Manson but nowdays there seems to be one a week.
I hope the cop shot him in the nuts first so he suffered first.

It's the information age...there has always been idiots around, but now we just hear about them all. And I guess as the population grows, so does the number of dumbasses.

There was a time that I adhered to the theory that we hear about more of these incidents because of the increased efficiency of the media thanks to satellite broadcasts for TV stations and of course, Al Gore's invention.
Now I'm starting to think you're right in your thinking. It fits with the whole concept of entropy.

As the cop didn't manage to stop the man before he killed the baby, does he really deserve a medal?
I agree what he did was justified and ultimately, a good thing for society, but he wasn't actually able to save the infant.
I'm not meaning to take away from the praise for the cop... I'm just confused as I don't think you can call him a hero if he didn't stop the man before it was too late.
Though he did still stop an obviously dangerous person. I don't know, I'm just confused.

I've seen medals given out to citizens where they "tried" to save someone's life, so I'd imagine this medal worthy.
