OK, so our Warriors had to play Good Times in the first game. Remember them SW? Reitsma and Co.
We had them down 9-5 late in the game. I am not going to blame the ump on this, as calls go both ways over time, but a last inning walk (where two balls called were clear strikes) AND the game tying run (with two outs) was made by them when we clearly had the out at home ended up costing us this time. 10-9 final for them. Couldn't repeat the payback for you SWers like we did for the Central team this week. Sorry!
But I am happy to announce I struck out Reitsma (3rd strike foul) and kept him at 1 for 4 in the game. He got me back though when he was in right field. He was playing shallow on me, and as we already had our three home runs (thus another would be an auto out), I thought I would go right field corner on him. PERFECT hit into the corner, but dammit, he still had wheels enough to get over and almost make the catch..... then he throws me out at second with a great throw right on the money. Out by inches, but still out.
Second game, we kicked the ball, we dropped the ball, we missed the ball, we flew out countless times... but ended up winning 12-9.
I think that still leaves us at 0.500 (4-4) on the year.

Don't worry SW. The Bad News Bears had a slow start too, and we all know how that ended. We just have to get Tatum O'Neal out of rehab, and we will be fine.
