Default FTP problem

using any client (right now coreFTP) and including the IE7 FTP manager, I cannot upload files that are 150kb or greater..... which makes it hard to do a lot of things

On another computer i was able to upload files that were this size, but on this computer it just hangs once it gets to around 80% uploaded

Anybody have this problem or am I on my own?

i use windows XP on this machine

Hm that's weird.. maybe try switching passive mode to the opposite mode of whatever it is now (should be a switch in the server listing in coreftp). Or try another client like filezilla.

Notepad++ also has a FTP client that is either built in or a quick addon from their site.

I'm a major advocate of the firefox browser. You can pick up a plug in for it called "fireftp" that absolutely rules.

Well, sounds like the server is giving you trouble then, if you have tried multiple FTP clients. Have you tried uploading to different servers?

We use fetch, and that seems to work.

He's not using a Mac.

(and this isn't one of those instances where "it works fine on a Mac" is valid)
