In that case, it's Off Topic.

The fact that you put it here, referred to him only as Reggie Dunlop and recognized in your first line that there might be confusion leads me to believe that you were just going for shock value.

This thread was made in very bad taste.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is still one of my favorite movies.

I hope it makes it through alright.

The Hustler and The Color Of Money are his best, imo.

Anything he's in is good. Cool Hand Luke, Hud, Slap Shot of course..... Paul will beat this thing. Old blue eyes has a lot of fight in him.

Kind of side tracking a bit, but the first thing I thought of was the 'Paul Newman' Daytona watch.

Cool Hand Luke is probably my favorite.

Harry and Son is a great lesser known movie of his as well.

Good luck to him!

You never know what to believe. I think Patrick Swayze was supposed to die in April.

Well, it could be argued that it was his last good movie!

I thought I'd revive this thread as it did not nearly have the level of discussion one might suppose for someone of his stature and contributions. It now appears his death may happen in weeks if reports are accurate.

http://blogs.reuters.com/fanfare/200...ublic-mystery/ have to scroll down a bit for the article.

He's a little too old to have had the same impact as if say Ed Norton died.

I've only ever seen about 3 Paul Newman movies.

Are you kidding? He could easily be put in the same class as other great actors such as Brando. Norton is good, but come on. Newman will surely leave a significant legacy of which Norton has not even begun to amass.

Paul Newman is a giant.

When he goes, it will be the biggest Hollywood passing in quite some time.

you can't be serious? Too old to have the same impact? He's one of the greatest actors of all time! Hud, Cool Hand Luke, The Hustler, Hombre, Butch and Sundance, The Sting, Slap Shot, Absence of Malice, Color of Money.......
