Thinkgeek had some similar goop that the more force you put onto it the harder it got, and more brittle too.. it was cool, it was like a gel almost in your hand, but hit it with a hammer and it shattered like glass.

My mom used to make small batches of that for me as a kid to play with. Very cool.
