Default Cristiano Ronaldo to Madrid?? Will He or Won't he??

Don't know how many of you have been following the saga of Cristiano Ronaldo over the last couple weeks, but it's getting to comedic levels right now.

These are all articles that I have found within the last 3-4 hours

Real Madrid boss saying that getting him is impossible
http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=723101

Ronaldo's Agent saying that he wants to play in madrid
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2...d=networkfront

Man U's boss saying no chance at a move
http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=723154

Barcelona want in on the sweepstakes
http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=722749

Beckham wants him to stay
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2...nchesterunited

Scolari wants him to go
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...632536,00.html

Being Portuguese, I don't really care where he goes, but I do like what he has become at Man U and he could be an absolute legend for arguably the biggest franchise on the planet. But having said that, being a legend at Real isn't a kick in the junk either.

Having said that, I wish he would come out publicly and put this crap to bed and focus on Euro and deal with this after they lift the trophy at the end of June. And they will. I have said this to many of my friends, after the season he had at Man U, 42 goals, Premiership title, Champs league title, if he were to lead Portugal to their first ever major tournament win, you can start putting him in the same breath with the legends of the game. Not Pele, Maradona or Zidane status, but right below with in the second tier. And to boot, he's only 23!!!!

I've heard about this. Beckham even came out and told him not to go to Real and to stay at Man U.

Personally, I hope he goes to Madrid. I hate Man U.

If anyone is interested, a couple other big moves that that are done deals or in the Works:

Jens Lehman: Leaves Chelsea for Stuttgart. Done Deal.

Ronaldinho: Still better than C. Ronaldo, rumour is that Manchester City is looking to buy him for the princely sum of $450, 000 Euro / week, or a little over 20M Euro/year. Rumour/In the works.

Sven Goran Eriksson: Named manager of the Mexican national team. Done.

I could actually see it happening after Euro cup to be honest...

Real Madrid are hungry for the CL and will do anything to get it... including a downright ######ed bid for Ronaldo worth near 100 million euro, including Robinho, Sergio Ramos and a bucketload of cash. Manchester United doesn't need the money, but could always use it. Ramos might become the best CB/RB on the planet. Robinho is a superstar in his own right. I expect this to be one of the last transfers of the summer because Man U is going to try and squeeze as much out of Real as possible.

And wait, there's more going down in Football's Silly Season:

Mourinho to Inter Milan (done)
Amauri from Palermo to Juventus (done)
Barry from Aston Villa to Liverpool, Xabi Alonso from Liverpool to Juventus (player terms agreed, team terms in progress)
Zambrotta from Barca to Milan (done)
Nasri from Marseille to Arsenal (in the works)
Cassano from Real Madrid to Sampdoria (done)
Eto'o to Chelsea or Inter Milan (rumored)
Ronaldinho to AC Milan, Manchester City, Juventus (for Trezeguet) (all rumors)
Deco and Drogba are also on the move most likely
Ancelotti, Mancini or Spalletti to Chelsea (rumored)

Then these links are for you....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zw9xh...eature=related
Goal of the year.....how that ball gets up and down with that pace is remarkable, Sir Alex Ferguson called it the best free kick in EPL history. Sure, there's bias in that comment, but how can you argue with that?!?!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cj7TpThGUhI&NR=1
His 4 best free kick

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LToUolVpje4
Compilation of his amazing skill

I could talk about that guy for hours and not get tired, he is truly a "gift from heaven" as the announcer on the first link said it.

Ronaldo is a baby. Yes, he's a great talent, but he's a little girl too. No respect from me.

Lehman is no loss for Arsenal, his stupid antics always get the better of him anyway.

What he said....

I don't know how many times I have seen him take a dive in the penalty kick area, and put away the penalty kick to win the game.

No respect.

Well, he is the only one in the world that dives.

In all honesty, the guy has matured so much in 4 years. He doesn't even come close to diving as much as he did when he was a teenager. He's more mature, he's no longer a skinny little punk, everyone dives, EVERYONE!!! Can't say you have no respect for arguably the top player in the world because he dives. List your fav players here, and I guarantee you they all dive from time to time as well. Ronaldo's divin reputation should be in the read view mirror and will be soon.

I don't think it's a question of if he will, more when he will leave.
The correct choice would be in four years time but it seems pretty unlikely it will go that long at this point.
The Glazers have stated they would rather him sit in the stands for four years than sell him which is pretty interesting, but likely just strong words and a complete bluff.
There are so many rumours going around about what different players/family members/coaches/friends have heard that it's not even worth speculating until he comes out and makes a firm decision. I think we will have to wait until after Euro for any major announcement, though he is supposed to be saying tomorrow.

Harsh words from someone who has Cesc Fabregas and Robin Van Persie at their club...

Ronaldo: "I want to play for Madrid"

Source: http://www.goal.com/en/articolo.aspx?contenutoid=724757

Interesting if true, but goal.com is known to be a bit of a rag sometimes.

More interesting rumors:
Adebayor to AC Milan for a huge sum of cash
Trezeguet to Barcelona for 25m euro
Quagliarella and Marquez to Juventus

The ones I frequent the most are:

www.goal.com, www.calciomercato.com (most of it is in Italian), www.channel4.com/sport, www.skysports.com, www.lastampa.com (Italian)

I'd be very surprised if the Adebayor deal goes through personally. One, that's a lot of money for Milan to spend, when Eto'o and Drogba are clearly on the market, and could probably be had for less than 30m euro.

Second, its suicide for Arsenal, who are inexplicably being picked apart this summer with Flamini and possibly Hleb.

Couldn't agree more. I read yesterday Hleb has confirmed his departure, so that's why they are pushing pretty hard for Nasri. I can see him signing with Arsenal after Euro is done. And apparently Arsenal is bidding for David Villa.

And, as I read this I feel like I'm going to vomit....
