Im so glad Obama won the democratic nomination.....I cant stand Billary! Obama is definately the better of the 2 choices. It's who I voted for in the California primaries back in Feb. GO OBAMA! I hope he beats McCain..........although Im a lil nervous that the supporters of Hilary are going to end up voting for McCain and take votes away from Obama.

Hillary just said she is going to take some time to decide what she wants to do.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Obama takes her on as the VP candidate simply to avoid letting her votes go to McCain.

Last poll said something like 24% of her supporters would vote for McCain rather than Obama.

Obama's speech was so good, it made me want to switch to a liberal for a second.

Obama is absolutely destroying Clinton in Montana, a state with virtually no black population. Good sign for him.

Just for a second though, right?

He has a gift for public speaking....no doubt about it.

I'll take that action if you are up for it....

I hope that Obama names Hillary for VP. It just makes sense. VP traditionally doesn't have all that much power (unless they are pulling the strings like Cheney), but it would be good for getting the segments of the population he was doing poorly with (blue collar workers, latino community).

Politically it might be a good idea....but a lot of Obama suppoters wouldn't touch Hillary with a ten-foot pole.

Cheney's pulling the strings?

I wonder how comfortable Obama would be putting into the VP slot someone who has implied he might be assassinated.

i'm nowhere near being a conspiracy theorist, but i seriously wouldn't put it past Hillary to put a plot in motion if she became the VP. all through the primaries she's just screamed of being someone who will do absolutely anything to get in power

That's been the talk down here, even before Hillary made those comments.(You know, the whole "people who allegedly cross the Clintons die in strange ways" idea.)

I don't think Hillary will want the VP nomination, if Obama wins, she could not run for President until 2016. That is still very much her primary goal, IMO.

Edit: Ron Paul earned 22% of the Republican vote in MT. Trending the same with border states North Dakota, Idaho, and Washington. Must be his strong stance on border security. lol

Honestly I was surprised to read this after the 'needing to stay in Iraq' bit you were saying a couple pages back. I know you don't have to agree with every last detail of your favorite candidate's platform but getting out of Iraq asap and having a non-interventionist foreign policy was one of his major talking points.

edit: i guess that should say 'is one of his major talking points' seeing as how technically he hasn't ended his bid for the nomination yet.

You're right, that is the only issue I am aware of that I disagree with Paul.

But his pre-war views were the exact same as mine.

Obama in his speech said that McCain fails to acknowledge his achievements. What exactly are Obama's achievements?
