Try Hirsche Fraser Meats in Okotoks. Almost all of their meat products are free range and organic as well.

Locations, specifications regarding products they carry, types of meatl, all the info is on their site below

Alright thanks for the answer. I defenitly gotta find one. Once you've had Canadian Prime everything is is just meh.

The Safeway in Glenmore Landing has this organic steak called Snake River Farms or something. I think it's Albertan. I KNOW it's freakin fantastic. Really, really expensive however.

And Calgary Co-op has lots of excellent Alberta beef for sale. It's labelled as such.

And there's lots of other places.

A butcher in Kensington would work well. You'd better hurry though, because I'm sure Janice Beaton is going to do something about it real soon.
Second to None Meats is also one of the only shops in western Canada that will sell dry aged steak. It is about $20 a steak but worth every cent. YOu don't even know how steak truly tastes until you have tried dry aged.

There is a butcher, just south of 17th Ave. I cannot for the life of me remember the name though. Let me go through my recipets from last year.

Definately not cheap, but some of the best steak I have ever had.

Co-op sells 21 day dry aged beef. I think Safeway's Rancher's Reserve is as well. What's criminal is that most steak houses don't use aged beef.

Better Butcher by my place on Heritage is good, and the owners are great people. As a bonus, they can satisfy all your black pudding needs.

Red Deer Meats in the antiques place on Blackfoot used to be good but I haven't bought anything from them for a while now.

Their meat plant is on 37 St a bit south of 22X highway, south of Calgary. Once you have been in there, you won't want to buy anymore meat from there((
