Not too bad. Mine might be a little lower since I was walked once, unless thats in there too.

As long as we don't start keeping track of errors in the field, we're good.

You would be 9-15 then. .600. The scorecards really only list people who've gotten on base or not. I didn't think anyone had walked.

I think I do have 6 HRs, not to be picky or anything. One didn't count because there was a runner on 3rd who was the mercy run, so I only got to first (hence, scored as a single, but really a HR).

Just wanted to make things rounded on multiples of 6!

18 at bats, 12 hits, 6HRs. So batting 66.66666666666% (I'm a devil), and hitting half my hits as HRs. So 33.333333333% of my hits are HRs.

HOWEVER, I think most of my other hots are piddly singles, so I have to work on that. Some of you guys seem to hit doubles every time, I just don't seem to have that good of placement.

Goal for tomorrow: no fielding errors.

Edit: got out my old cleats from when I used to play ball. Should be no slipping tomorrow, even if the field is wet. 1-2-3 Eriksson sucks!

Well the rain held off almost the full evening. Our Warriors squad won the first game 18-10.

We started playing our second game, had one run in, and bases loaded... when the team we were supposed to play showed up. WDF? One team was called the Aces, one the Smoking Aces.

After that gets sorted out, we start playing the other team. Ugghhhh. Losing 7-0 after one inning, and this team is playing well against us. They have some excellent ladies, which always helps. Anyways, being the visitors, we started the seventh inning with a one run lead after battling back through from that shaky start. Got two more in our end of the 7th. But we couldn't hold the lead. They scored 4 in the bottom half and won 19-18. Leaves our record to date at 3-3.

One hell of a game though. That is the team with the fastest person I have ever seen. Tony, their pitcher.... and he only has one arm! Gutsy fellow!

So I wonder how the SW team faired. Did they get their first "W"?

You might just want to avoid that Calculus thread.

So we had our first lead tonight... That was pretty awesome. Plus, Locke and FIYE did their share to "intimidate" the other team. Unfortunately, they responded by tuning us. Apparently they didn't like getting hit by bats.

What are you talking about !

My math was correct, I just didn't explain it clearly at all. Half of my hits are HRs, so 6/18 are HRs for 33.33%, whereas 50% of all hits are HRs.

Made sense in my brain but not on the thread. Kinda like what happens when I write exams.

P.S. Res, I have taken a whack of uni level calculus, but it doesn't mean anything!

P.P.S. Who is bringing beer? I think Cowboy needs to pony up (pun intended) because he missed last game?

What does everyone want? I'm partial to Bud, but I don't require it

Well, here's hoping we're playing tonight. Supposed to rain most of the day, apparently.

Waaarrrriorrrrrs - come out to plaaaaa-aaaaay!

Aeneas has promised to hit a home run to opposite field off Shawnski!

I'll be the fastest person you have ever seen. Team-mates talked about bringing a sports action camera to take pictures, but I will still be a blur.

If our game gets called on rain, we can always go to the pub and watch the hockey game... Just sayin.

Uhh... reverse psychology?

As of right now, I'd suggest that we plan to show up for the game tonight. Shanwski says the radar doesn't look too bad. Tonight will likely be a game time decision.

I will show up at the usual time for some throwing practice (so that next game I won't throw 6 ft over your head Res), and if the game is cancelled, then let's for sure go watch the game somewhere. We need to do some more team bonding!

I'm not so sure the rest of them are up to the kind of bonding you're talking about.... But I might be.
