Default The Worldwide Telescope

Did a search and couldnt find if this was posted...so barring a Fata,
If you havent seen this install it and check it out...if you are into Astrology at all it will amaze you.

Worldwide Telescope

Want to see the same images that scientists at NASA use for their research or perform your own research with those images? Or do you want to see the Earth from the same perspective that astronauts see as they descend to Earth?

Those are some fairly intense system requirements. Check them out first unless you have a new computer.

I have mixed emotions about it. Astrophotography is a hobby of mine and I'm sorta torn... I love seeing the images accessable for everyone, but at the same time, I wonder if that encourages or discourages someone from picking up a telescope.

Anyone who's ever looked through a telescope or tried to understand the process knows how difficult and rewarding it can be. I just worry someone with an intrest in astronomy will be discouraged by their first look through a real telescope expecting to see what "Hubble+Chandra" images look like... It's the process of learning and understanding that opens your eyes to the universe.. then you can apperciate the pretty pictures..
