Official Dispersal draft discussion thread
So when Drew checks in and makes his first pick we can trash each other. Me, I'd be shocked if he didn't take Shane Doan with the first pick but who knows. Other things to watch, will teams take the BPA, or guy who they think has the most trade value. Who will be the one to jump in and gamble on Craig Conroys salary?
Maybe Drew doesn't check in....and Rob makes the first pick, the Drama!

Yeah the first overall should be a no-brainer.
Will be interesting to see when teams start to pass - how deep does this sucker go.

I had a list of about 22 players that I knew of between the two teams.

I can't see this going much past a round honestly. That being said Nashville is interesting in moving the player to be drafted #4 here. PM me if you're interested or catch me on msn!

I am correct to assume roster limits and cap restrictions are still in effect.

I dont think so...last year we only said you cant sign a UFA if dont have the cap/roster space, correct? I think thats what we did. Then we didnt start the watchdog till the season started, I believe. Anyway, too many restrictions on the Dispersal Draft would suck, thats not fun. So I say, have at er!

Yeah, since it's now the offseason I agree that roster restrictions shouldn't be in place for this. I have like 2 pending UFA's and a couple RFA's that I plan on just releasing anyways and was waiting for the roll over date rather than axe them now.

Yup the watchdog is backed on his chain for the off-season. Just make sure you understand what you can and cannot do if you are over the cap.
For instance you can't re-sign UFAs, including your own, if you are over cap.

I'm down at #7, like 2 guys a lot. If they're both gone it'll be a really difficult decision.
I will not take Craig Conroy

So lets say the CPHL decided to get rid of the Columbus Blue Jackets instead of the Nordiques....who would be the first Blue Jacket picked in a dispersal draft?
