This guy needs to go to jail for the rest of his life. Its one thing to do a crime of desperation. This guy looks like he was doing it for the thrill of it.
He'll probably get three months with time served.

the car jacker even took a minivan, kicked out the family, 9 yr old kid still in the back seat as he sped off. man i was hoping the police would have used deadly force on him

3. At approximately 11 a.m., a delivery truck was
stolen from the 1100 block of Radnor Drive N.E.

Deerfoot Trail, a carjacking involving a handgun occurred.
5. At approximately 12:50 p.m., an attempted
carjacking occurred in the 10000 block of Hidden Valley Dr.
N.E. Both the driver and passenger were threatened at gun
point.
6. At approximately 12:57 p.m., a carjacking occurred
at the Hamptons Co-op. A male offender pointed a handgun at
the victims.
7. At approximately 1:25 p.m., at the Richmond Road
Safeway on 37 Street S.W., a carjacking occurred.
8. At approximately 1:30 p.m., an attempted carjacking
took place at 46th Avenue & 37 Street S.W
9. At approximately 1:35 p.m. an attempted carjacking
took place in the 4900 block of Richmond Road.
10. At approximately 1:45 p.m., a carjacking occurred
at 16 Avenue and Russet Road N.E.
11. At approximately 1:52 p.m., a carjacking occurred
at 16 Avenue & 36th Street N.E.
12. At approximately 1:55 p.m., a carjacking occurred
in the 3800 block of Marbank Drive N.E., At this time a
seventy-five year old man was assaulted and forced into
passenger seat
13. At approximately 2 p.m., the vehicle stolen from
the 3800 block of Marbank Drive N.E. was stopped by police.
The driver was taken into custody and the passenger was
transported to hospital. The driver of the vehicle was also
transported to hospital.

i hate how the perp was taken to hospital..f him throw him in jail. if this was the usa the guy would get 70 years in jail probably, here, lets see if even a year is served

yep. i'm against the death penalty for the sole reason that so many innocent people get wrongly convicted, but when it's cut and dry as caught in the act remove them from the gene pool and make the world a better place

Ummmm.. how is this even possible?
I can't make that trip in that short a time driving as fast as possible, let alone two carjackings in between!
17 minutes from Richmond Road to Marlborough? How?

I live in Lakeview and used to be able to get to work by Marlborough (if I left early enough so there was no traffic) in about 20 minutes. I was speeding... maybe 10-20km over the posted limit but probablly not as fast as this guy was going. If you take Glenmore to Deerfoot to Memorial it's pretty quick!
