Bell launches their unlimited data plan!
$30 for unlimited email and Internet on blackberry and windows mobile devices!
Doesn't include tethering or BES.
Cmon Rogers, catch up already.. Hopefully this is Bell trying to steal away some of the thunder from Rogers iPhone launch, and hopefully the data plan on Rogers will be comparable or even better.
Only requisite is the voice plan has to be worth $30 / mo.
CMON ROGERS/FIDO!!

So the total would now be $60/month ($30 Voice + $30 data)?

Rogers needs to come out with their unlimited data plan already. I've had my iPhone for almost 4 months now with no data plan. It's just sitting in my pocket taunting me.

I love macs but I am not wanting an iphone. A 160Gb classic will do me just fine. I am waiting for Rogers to come out with an unlimited data plan so I can ditch the RAZR and get a BB Curve, though the new Bolds look fairly nice as well. Any more news on Telus switching over to GSM? If they make the switch Telus could offer the iPhone with thier $45 Unlimited Data Plan. Boy would Rogers be in deep water.

The thing is, I still have a hard time believing the iPhone is going to affect Blackberry data rates. The iPhone will use the regular, separately charged data that Windows Mobile phones already use (not Blackberry data).
Rogers has to buy blackberry data from RIM and then resell it to its users.
Bell and Telus will do it just to compete against the iPhone, but there's nothing forcing Rogers to follow suit. The amount of people they get coming over for the iPhone will offset any people going the other way for unlimited BB data.
(again, remember that the iPhone doesn't use BB data, so they don't HAVE to have any special BB data plan in conjunction with the iPhone - they are two completely separate offerings)
Edit: Don't get me wrong, though... as a Rogers customer and a Blackberry user, I'm PRAYING for unlimited data.

Its a HUGE rumor that I don't see happening. Telus would have to ditch about $500 Million of invested CDMA towers. What do they do with that? They couldn't just sell them, they would need that land/approval for every new tower that went up.

I know.
My point was with regards to the general consensus that Rogers will have unlimited data across the board when the iPhone launches.
There's a separate distinction between the data the iPhone uses and the data the Blackberry uses. While Rogers will have to give unlimited regular data to iPhone users, there is nothing forcing them to do the same for Blackberry users.
People have developed a notion that just because Telus and Bell have unlmited BB/WM data, that Rogers will follow suit. They won't have to because the number of people that switch over to Rogers for the iPhone will offset the people that switch to Bell/Telus for unlimited BB data. In fact, the whole unlimited data thing from Bell/Telus is simply the only card left to play in order to compete with the iPhone. Bell/Telus are really the ones that don't have a choice.
