Wrong. This is a review thread. That one was a preview of the trailer.

It's a repeat thread disucussing the film, and as yet there is nothing in here that wasn't already echoed in the previous thread. No one here has seen it yet so there is nothing to review. No reason this discussion couldn't have continued in the pre existing thread with a change to the thread title so therefore FATA.

Well, I'm certainly not going to stop people from discussing the movie. But it does not change that fact that the thread was build for the purpose of reviews. Besides, the movie did officially start tonight not 12 days from now, so I'm sure we'll be seeing some reviews tonight. Therefore, NO FATA :P

Discussion of this film, be it the teaser trailer or the entire film, is still discussion on the same topic. Reviews of the film are discussing it the same as reviews of the trailer. As stated, a change to the previous thread's title is all that is required to continue the already in progress discussion. Talking about a pictue of a barrel of apples in one thread and then talking about seeing that barrel of apples live an in person is still talking about the same thing. This thread is FATA. If you choose to believe that it's a change in the type of discussion (which it is not) that's fine but simply shows you are trying to win the argument because you started this new, second and FATA thread. All discussion of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull can easily be comtained in one thread. Or perhpas someone should start a new thread to discuss only the title and how it was revealed by Shai LeBouf at the MTV Movie awards?

Really?? Then all discussions of Jarome Iginla should be contained in one thread as well, or the game day threads, cause they're essentially about the same thing, just on different days, or every thread discussing prospects should be in one thread as well then.

Hmm...wonder why the mods don't close those threads down. Gee, wonder why the mods didn't close THIS thread down. It's because it is pretty obvious the mods know the difference between a review thread and a trailer preview thread.

No, discussion of Jarome Iginla varies on it's topic. Much is put into game threads or threads about other topics which Jarome's name comes up in. Each thread tends to be a new discussion about a new topic. Redunant threads about Jarome being great or his gameplay over a period of time would be considered FATA, the same as multiple threads linking to the same or similar news articles (ie Hart Trophy talk). KOTCS is one film from initial rumors to production news, trailer talk, theatrical release, home video release and subsequent TV showings. It's one film, it doesn't varry from day-to-day and considering the previous thread was less than 2 full pages it did not warrant a second thread on this message borad. This thread is, and you know it because you failed to either search well enough or actualy find the first, FATA. It simply continues the discussion from where the previous thread left off which was talking about the film, Shaia, possible direction of further sequels and other Indy 4 related items. It never was soley contained to discussing only the teaser trailer, and this thread isn't soley for reviews. Again, it's a FATA thread. The mods can choose to lock it, merge with the previous or sit on their hands and do nothing. Still doesn't change the fact it's a redundant thread on an already discussed topic less than 6 months old, or in another term the defenition of FATA.

I'm also not derailing this thread, simply replying to your obvious defense that you made a FATA, which you did. I put in my discussion of the film for now and may contribute more later. Untill then, this thread is still FATA.

Your origional thread was titled in line with the trailer, but the discussion went beyond that to encompase more. Your origional intentions not withstanding, there are now 2 threads on this mesage board discussing the same thing. That is called redundancy and in this world redundant threads are called FATA. IF you people don't like the term being used to point out your errors, why did you create it in the first place? Funny that unless you are considered "one of the crew" you aren't allowed to point out people's errors here. 2 threads, same discussion. By the defenition of the rule's stated clearly in the rule thread it is FATA no matter who created what.

Ignore me all you like. You know you created a second thread on an already posted topic and were called on it. Maybe the mods aren't around at the moment as they are already in line to see the film, or doing something else with their lives?
