Supersuckers coming to Calgary
No, this has nothing to do with Hookers and Blow...well maybe it does.
Anyway, I've had discussions about the Supersuckers with a few folks on the board, so I just thought I'd thow it out to the masses here at CP that The Greatest Rock And Roll Band In The World (Capitalized for a reason) is playing at Flames Central on July 10th, and SHOCKINGLY!!!! tickets are still available.
Supersuckers + Stampede + Flames Central = awesomeness never before seen.
To anyone who wants to see one of the best live shows you've ever seen, by the greatest band you've probably never heard of, for 22 bucks you can't go wrong.
That is all.

I heard about this a couple days ago, I am a big supersuckers/Eddie Spaghetti fan. I saw them last year in Edmonton, they put on a great show, can't wait...

Quite the contrary. They are in fact The Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World, as this link will prove.

I've seen them a couple times. Kind of a novelty act but they put on a fun show.

This show is tonight. Megatunes still has tickets. 23 bucks.
Has anyone ever seen a show at Flames Central? How is it?
I've never actually paid for a drink in that place but I've heard it is pretty steep. The Home Of The 8 Dollar Pint" kind of steep. Is this real or just fantasy? I'm a cheapskate and refuse to pay that kind of money for a glass of beer.

WOO HOO, I'm so excited for this show tonight.
I've actually got two extra tickets kicking around if anyone is interested in buying them.
$20 a piece.

Does anyone have a guess when the show might start tonight? I'm coming from Red Deer and have to work a full day. I know the tickets say 7:00 but is there any chance they will play that early? I don't want to miss a bit.

They must be good live, but all of their recordings sound the same to me.

I saw them the first time they came to the Night Gallery. Great show. Caught them again a few years later at Mac Hall - I don't know if it was the venue or a matter of "seen it once, seen enough", but it just wasn't the same.
I still haven't caught a show at Flames Central - how is the place?

I saw Ween at Flames Central, and much to my surprise, it was a perfect combination. Must have something to do with bars surrounding the room, so it is easy to get drinks. It was a real rowdy show.

RubberDuck,
I really doubt they'll be starting anywhere near 7:00.
I'd be supprised if they hit the stage much before 10:00
I'm not sure who is playing with them, but as far as I know there are a few opening bands.
This'll be my 3rd time seeing them and both times before were AWESOME, especially in Portland when Eddie Spagehtti and Jordan Shapiro opened with their coutry set. Man I hope they do the same thing here.

Thanks BBS. This will be my second time seeing them. I saw them at the Night Gallery many moons ago and thought they were great. I'll be donning the Supersuckers T-shirt I picked up that night, I think it still fits. I hope they do some of their country stuff this show, it would only make sense being Stampede and all. See ya'll at the show.
