Hello all,
I'm on the organizing committee for an annual conference that is being held next year in Calgary (it's in a different city in Canada every year). One of the main social events is an East vs. West baseball game. None of us on the organizing committee play baseball - I'm the only one I think who ever has (and that was very very casually), but I still don't own much more than a glove and ball. So I'm at a loss when I'm trying to figure out who in Calgary would loan out bats, balls, gloves and possibly bases? Any suggestions?
As well, if anyone happens to know of any public diamonds within a close distance of downtown, I'd be eternally grateful. When I spoke to Cgy Parks and Rec, they told me they don't have a map of the parks, I'd just have to drive around the city and look for them.
I was hoping to not have to do that.

Renting baseball equipment?
Forgot to mention, we're a bunch of archivists - we're one step above nerds with pocket protectors - we're nerds with acid-free pens and pencils.. who am I kidding? We're nerds. 
So yeah, robbery ain't gonna happen. I may be calling on CP this time next year for some ringers - apparently the west gets smoked every year by those smart alec easterners.
