Why? Unless you are one of those people that confuse bees with wasps, bees don't do anything but pollinate flowers unless you accidentally piss one off and it thinks it needs to sting you.

Yes, yes I am. Does it fly and buzz? If so, I'm outta there.

Some might argue that bees are the source (or at least big part) of our existence.

Still others argue that we were planted here by aliens.

Yesterday morning my cat was pawing at something. I leaned down to take a closer look and a giant hornet was sitting on a pair of pants. Brother grabbed his empty slurpee cup and caught it, then let it back outside. Thing was massive. I wouldn't want to be stung by that sucker.

I like bees. They pollinate my fruit trees. As others have said, unless you tick them off, they're not going to sting you. Except in the fall. For some reason, wasps and hornets get downright cranky in the fall.

I'm 26 and never been stung by a bee, so I don't know if I'm allergic to them or not.
That justifies me running like a little girl when I see one right?

That depends. Are you a girl?

To be serious, i completely understand your reaction. I'm mildly allergic to wasp stings, and I once hit the ditch because there was a wasp in the vehicle. I've learned to cope with them though. Other than in the fall, they'll pretty much leave you alone unless you disturb them.

I have also yet to be stung or bitten and I also attribute it to my girlish squealing and running away whilst flailing my limbs like a wind sock.
