Thanks for all the tips folks! I am still undecided.

Octothorp, what section were those seats? How many miles away from the infield were you?

I have the opportunity to go the Wedesday night game, or the Thursday afternoon game (or both). For those that have been, which time is more sought after?

I can see the afternoon being nice to sit and relax in the sun, but on the other hand, if its really hot, the evening would be nice. On the other hand, if its cold, the afternoon game would be better. The list of Pros/Cons goes on and on like that for me. Can anyone help me narrow it down?

Well ... the long weekend down there is coming up so I'd imagine they might be about the same in terms of demand. I'd say slightly less demand for the Thursday game than the Wednesday one.

Look at it this way. The House that Ruth Built is going to be demolished after this season. More history has taken place on that field than any other sports stadium in North America. You will never get another chance to see the New York Yankees play at Yankee Stadium again. Quit nit picking and get your self some tickets. Who cares if its $50 there or $100 here for tickets. It is a once in a life time opportunity that you will never get a chance to do again. Get tickets and enjoy it.

I'm going to two games vs the Red Sox on July 4th & 5th. Both day games. I can't wait. We bought our tickets through Stub Hub. I paid about $350 for my tickets. But the way I look at is its a once in a lifetime opportunity at this point. It has been a life long dream to go to Yankee Stadium. I'm thrilled just to get in the door.

I've been to both a night game and day game. I found the atmosphere at the night game to be awesome, it was last year though when arod was stuck at 499 was cool to see all the flashbulbs everytime he it the ball. But the day game is cool too.

seriously though check ebay, thats where i bought both of mine
 http://cgi.ebay.ca/2-Tickets-Thursda...QQcmdZViewItem

Were you in section 39? Was that the infamous Bald Vinny, leader of the Bleacher Creatures?

Oh, we are going, make no mistake about that. Money isnt the issue (although who doesnt like good value?). Seeing a Yankees game is the whole reason we already booked the airfare. The tickets I have been thinking about are $400 on Stubhub, and are in section 57 I believe. It looks to be about a dozen rows from the field.

We are just trying to decide if we want to go the Wednesday night, Thursday afternoon, or both.

Our seats were in tier 35, row A, right up against the edge of the upper tier above right field. Long long way from the infield, I would have had the binoculars out for a lot of the game, but really good as far as a vantage point to view the entire stadium experience.
