I can't believe it! I get my refurbished xbox from Microsoft, put in my harddrive and no downloaded rock band songs when I play the game. Apparently you have to be hooked up on Live whenever you want to play them? That's crap! My internet is upstairs and xbox is downstairs and there is no way frig'n way I'm spending a chunk of money to go wireless.

no really easy way mentioned to get it to work, but they explain why it doesn't work any more and some suggestions to get it correct (call at bitch at microsoft). good luck

I have the Nyko guitar and like it. Just doesn't have the solo buttons. Haven't used it on GH but it works fine on Rockband.

So don't buy any of them. This competition is the only reason the games are getting better. Look at the difference between GH1 and GH2 when Harmonix was the only player in the game.

I would argue that the only reason the games are getting better is because harmonix is still making some of them. I'm a total helpless harmonix fanboy, but to me they are the only company doing innovative things with the material.

Of course the argument could be made that they wouldn't evolve without the competition, but when they were making games before GH1 they were always looking forward to the next big thing. Definitely a reason I've been following them for so long.

whoa, 9 songs? Am I to assume all of these have already been released across the pond?

Also, a little ashamed to say I've never really given any Muse material a listen to. They seem to get a fair amount of attention, so perhaps I will. Also, it's nice to see the fine people at Rock Band recognize my insatiable thirst for Oasis songs.

I think rock band is out in Europe next week. Sorta sucks for them having to wait so long (not to mention how expensive it is over there). They were given these 9 songs as exclusives to make them feel better, but north american's get to download it earlier, so they're probably not too please.

I was introduced to Muse via guitar hero 3. Really like their stuff, so i'm hoping more of it comes on rock band, look them up in youtube, they have neat videos.

And yeah, i like all the oasis stuff. It sorta sucked for me though, i downloaded them all as individual songs rather then as the package. Opps.

question for ps3 users:
my rock band didnt come with a usb 1 port into 3 port adapter.
but i know someone with ps2 that got the usb adapter.
is this normal or did i get screwed?

If I recall, the 40 gig ps3 with less usb ports came out the same week as rock band, so the packing of the usb hub may have been delayed on the earlier packages. Fortunately any usb hub will work, but unfortunately you may have to buy it yourself. Perhaps give the website a visit, they may have a deal where they'll send you one if you have proof of purchase.

you could replace everything or go to ea's support page and fill it out to get a replacement

For some unknown reason the PS3 version of Rock Band doesn't come with a usb hub. Even if i had a 60/80 gb model i wouldn't want to use all my ports for RB... a hub would be nice. I was able to pick one up for about 15 bucks at Walmart.

If anyone is a fan of early Limp Bizkit (first 2 albums) then check out the Pleymo track I really like it only reason I won't download it is because nobody I know speaks French well enough to be able to pass the lyric part of the song, also thought the H-Blockx track was pretty good too

If you got them to reduce the noise it's definitely worth it.
