got it thanks...
so general consensus is just walk away and dont worry about it ????
i was advised by a lawyer to send a letter requesting the reason she was fired.... i consulted a lawyer because i did not want my wife to be blacklisted and not be able to get hired by another company .......

What do you hope to get from suing for wrongful termination? If you are simply wanting your wife to get her job back, then good on ya... but does she even want it back? It will never be the same again. Now, if she has received her up to date paycheques and more money is what you are looking for, then sadly I'm on the greed boat. Turn around and focus on better opportunities elsewhere.

I asked my wife that same question
My wife said its wrong to treat employees like that. She doesnt think of the money when she considers legal action , she is thinking to bring it to the attention of the company that the treatment she went through is unfair and wrong . By even considering legal action my wife believes it will prevent them from doing it in the future....
but i think i will ask my wife if you do have any monetary gain from it , and if your not doing it for money, then would you donate all the money you would receive to charity?

I'm kind of confused about the "morals vs. greed" title. Who is being moral/immoral? If you actually do have a legitimate gripe (which I can't tell if you do or not) it is neither immoral or greedy. If you don't then it's probably both.
It does sound like a lot of "he said she said" though, and something Judge Judy might be interested in.

there is a bunch of he said /she said , im guessing there would be alot of pople who are chracter witnesses.......... but morals and greed.... i dunno my dad says it makes me greedy if i pursue it but im on more of a moral soap box instead of looking for money....
i believe there should be consequences if you do something wrong... for example i lost my first wife in a car wreck. The lady who hit us had no insurance. I lost my wife, and was on the hook for 200+ grand of hospital bills because of it. The lady was never charged with a crime and never held liable in anyway. Therefore the was no consequences for her for driving without insurance and/or killing someone. WHat are the chances that this lady is still driving without insurance ???

Not to get all insurancey on you but.....did you not have the SEF #44 on your policy? This stands for standard endorsement form #44 and is also known as the family protection endorsement. I would say 99% of policy holders have this coverage. Basically what it does is cover you for up to $1,000,000 if you are in an accident and the third party does not have insurance or the third party has an inadequate amount of insurance. I just find it hard to believe that you would not have had this coverage and that you had to pay for the third parties negligence?

Did your wife have some kind of contract? I know in some instances they don't actually need a reason to fire you, all they have to do is give you notice. The amount of notice depends on how long you worked there for. It probably wouldn't hurt to make a quick call to the labour board and get some more details before blowing money on a lawyer.

I think the deja vu was from a thread about being dissed after doing a good deed...
As to what your choices are:
-all employers have the right to fire anyone for absolutely no reason. They either have to give them notice (depending on how long she worked there) or pay them out in lieu of earned notice. It sucks, but is life.
-If the employer were to say she got fired because of reasons not true when called for a reference that would be slanderous and THEN you can sue the
-Lastly: just be happy with the revenge of knowing that Kevin(?) will have to wake up every morning, turn over and have to look at CH (I saw the picture on the webite...shudder) and that the owners will (hopefully) go out of business, because seriously: Who goes to BRANSON to watch Japanese theatre?!?!?!?!

Well, if I were fired for no good reason, I would just move on. I wouldn't want to work where I wasn't wanted.

I'd just get on with it and start a new job. I can give you some advice my dad gave me years ago.NEVER EVER get involved with people breaking up. Stay as far away from all of. He did it once and it really backfired on him. I also know someone who got involved and took a side and ended up murdered. Sounds severe, but true. Sounds like too much drama. Close the doors and just be a couple and start fresh and get some new friends.

Branson, MO is unreal. The place is absolutely packed 365 days a year. It's truly unbelievable....especially if you had been there 23 years ago or so. The change is mind boggling. It's like Vegas without the casinos.

365 is an overstatment...... it is busy 9 months out of the year .... md dec- mid march most of the shows arent open and silver dollar city is closed. But in those 9 months we get over 9 million tourists..... and we only have 2 lanes of traffic.... it is a crazy place but if your in the entertainment field, its like high school lol!!!!
