I did too, shot up the courier while on the ground. I think I landed ahead of it so I can shoot at it as it came towards me. Also, there was a certain order to them too or else one of them would end up being out of reach if left to the end. Frustrating mission.
Hardest one for me still was the one where you had to fly and catch up with a plane carrying mobsters. Took me so many times to do that one

That mobster one was frustrating because the plane handling was terrible. I eventually found out that you line up your plane on the runway, throttle it up and keep your finger on the throttle without using anyother control. When you see the mobsters plane ahead of you, you pull the 180 and dive on him.

Lots of swearing in the crunch household on that one because if you miss, that jet is gone.

I'm absolutely loving this game. Can't wait to hook it up to my 42" plasma (still hasn't made the move yet) and play it in HD.

see i played San Andreas on the PC, and found the plane missions (real and the RC ones) very easy since i was using my joystick for vehicle control. having a mouse for aiming made a lot of the combat missions quite simple as well. at least GTA4 has the nice target lock feature to make it a bit easier with a controller

Looks like the numbers are in (according to MCV ). Nothing too surprising here, but still impressive:

		| GTA IV: Biggest entertainment launch of all time
Game tops $500m in its first week – beating out Harry Potter, Halo 3 and Pirates Of The Caribbean

GTA IV has become the most lucrative entertainment launch of all time – dwarfing best-ever releases in music, video and literature.

Take Two has confirmed that GTA IV sold six million units globally in its first week – with an estimated retail value of more than $500 million.

The title sold approximately 3.6 million units on its opening day with a retail value of approximately $310 million globally.

The previous biggest entertainment launch week was that of cinema blockbuster Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End (2007), which took $404 million at the Box Office.

"We knew Grand Theft Auto IV would break new ground in terms of the player's experience, with its compelling story line, extraordinary gameplay and action that ranges over a broad urban canvas. Now, it has broken sales and rating records as well,” said Strauss Zelnick, Chairman of Take-Two.

Where do I go to steal the helicopter? I went to the big airport but that only resulted in me stealing a long-haul truck and going on a high-speed chase.

It's in the North part of the airport if I remember correctly. There should be 3 helicopter landing pads by the hangers. At least this was in freestyle mode, muliplayer. In single player mode, it could also be that you haven't "unlocked" it yet. I only got access to internet cafes and hailing taxis recently but I haven't been playing for a long period of time.

You may need to get to them in the storyline. It isn't terribly long until you get to them. They are @ symbols on your map when you do.

Try this thing if you'd like http://grandtheftauto.ign.com/maps/1/Liberty-City-Map
It's been a lifesaver for me when I needed to find body armor.

To see them on the map, you have to do the story - but I am pretty sure they are always there anyways.

One is around the main park. It is called Tw@

It is across from the park, about 2 stores in from a corner. ... that is all I can recall... you should be able to see inside it while driving past.

I finally figured out how I was getting my arse kicked in Multi-player so much. Sometimes I'd come around a corner with full body armour and an SMG and some guy would shoot once or twice and ruin me even though I pumped a full clip into him. Some may know this already but if you lock on the aim and then bring the reticle up to head level you can drop most people in just a couple of shot. Combine this tactic with using the SMG to zoom in on guys and it's a perfect combination. Made a HUGE difference as I could five or six kills before having to armour up again.
Pass on any other tips you got.

I like the Russian fur hat personally
Michelle likes my outfit too, at least she keeps commenting about it to me

about that, Michelle being your first girlfriend seems to enjoy anything so far, but does that include taking her to the strip club? Haven't tried taking her there yet.

HA! I never noticed that.

Michelle doesn't strike me as the kind of girl that would like a strip club. Although once I crashed my car so hard with her in it she was ejected through the windshield and she was still ok with me. If that doesn't bother her she might be cool with the rippers.

she doesnt do anything at the rippers, i tried. she doesnt like when you push her or kill someone for some reason. its funny when you injure the people you are hanging out with because they call you to be picked up at the hospital, like the time i filled roman with lead , and brucie got run over by a cop after being ejected from the car
