141/250... With more than a few "I can't believe I actually haven't seen that" in there (Casablanca, Gone With The Wind, all of Kurosawa's stuff), but still, not bad. I'm a movie freak.
I'll work on it.
But I'll never see Iron Man. Ever.

That makes two of us. Superhero movies are so over hyped and overrated, everytime. I never read comic books as a kid and neither did any of my friends, but everytime a hero movie comes out one hundred million people come out of the woodworks. Come on, you can't tell me those 14 year old ho's in line are Iron Man fans.

Coincidentally, that is the only one I truly have as a favorite of mine, and I CANNOT WAIT for The Dark Knight.

114 - I've seen a lot of Kurosawa and Fellini.
IMDb ratings can be pretty odd, for sure, especially for stuff that's just come out. I'm sure it's jihads, and I bet the studios themselves are responsible for at least some of it. Over time the human votes tend to dilute the effect, but you still end up with inflated ratings on stuff that's less than 5 years old.

54 for me. Not bad considering I don't watch a lot of block busters and tend towards more obscure stuff. I must watch more movies than I realize I guess.

I've seen 74 with another 25 on my list to see but I haven't got to yet.
But yeah, not the best list. Some of those I was really surprised to see up there. A lot fewer classics than I thought and a lot of recent movies. Plus, so many animated movies and comedies up there too.

119, but that list is about 60% classic and 40% filler - luckily I had plenty of the filler covered to get my number up
Iron Man in the top 100?!?! Yah, ok, I don't think so - it's a great summer movie, but I'm willing to bet there will be no "Iron Man" school of film-making inspired by it.

What amazes me is how many movies I couldn't include because I had only seen parts, or half of them. Had I just sucked it up and finished em off(or came home earlier when the roomies were watchin em), I'd be at 65-70.

66 for me. For awhile there I was really rolling, but towards the end of the list I tanked.

I will never see the foreign language films, just can't do it.
Twelve Monkeys is NOT a stretch for this list at all!
Very glad to see some of the films on the list...Shaun of the Dead, Snatch, The Big Lebowski. Great comedies are often overlooked as great films....these 3 were both. We should come up with the Calgary Puck top XXX list of movies or something.

Agreed. Can't stand them, but that was a great movie...and I'm sure The Dark Knight will be as well.

I gotta agree with 12 Monkeys and Big Lebowski.
But when you see a list that has Toy Story and Toy Story 2 on there, (plus nearly every other Pixar movie) you gotta kinda wonder. I mean I could see if they had Toy Story on there because when it came out the animation was pretty groundbreaking, but to have 4 Pixar movies up there?
