Montana Meth Project
Apparently this program been very effective if curbing Meth use with teens in Montana, I wonder how bad the problem still is in Alberta.

Potentially NSFW. Not nudity or anything, but some pretty ugly images, and they are really big.
As for the program... I've never really been sold on these anti-drug campaigns. We laughed at them when I was a kid. Someone who smoked a lot of weed was called an "Aadac Poster Child".
This one is pretty graphic though. The picture of the prison cell and the mention of a "romantic night" would at least make me think about that grim prospect. "Just Say No" and a frying egg are fodder for jokes.

Meth should be any 'easier' drug to be 'antidrug' about.
Considering the results and all.
Good on Montana for being VERY graphic and 'truthful' about it.

I noticed these a couple months ago when I was down there. Good stuff.

Personally, I think the television ads are the most effective:

There has been a bit of a backlash by certain religious groups here for the "$15 for sex" billboards, and they are going to be taken down. I guess reality is too graphic for some.

Some of those pics are just brutal. Good to see Montana is making a real effort to combat the problem. Can't argue with results.

I really think this "reefer madness 2008" is the right approach...kids today need to see the reality of what they could be facing...I saw a similar pull no punches approach to showing kids the effects of guns that was also quite effective...candy-coating the message doesn't do anyone any good...kids should be freaked out by this stuff

I think it's pretty safe to say that Methamphetamine and marijuana are two very, very different things. I think that if you are anti-meth you can be pro-marijuana. I think that is an acceptable philosophy.
I'm not accusing you of this, but it seems some folks here are all the way or not at all on some of this stuff, and that's scary.

Iowa should adopt something similar, seeing as how it is(or at least was) the meth capital of the US.

How do they know the campaign has been very effective? Are there stats? And doesn't it take a while to see a change anyway?
Not saying I'm against something like this. Meth is probably the dirtiest drug out there (except for maybe crack), but I'm curious how they can tell it's working.
Alberta did have commercials similar to this last year. Not quite as in your face, but definitely a step up from what we were used to seeing. They've since taken them down. I wonder why?

Alberta had the same commercials when I was in high school.
Very graphic presentations. In fact, they were so graphic that the lower grades had to get parental permission to attend the assembly.
