Hopefully this hasn't been posted yet (I'm not going through 38 pages). It's also a little old, but anyways...

This one is equally entertaining. It's also a throwback to a classic movie.

Obama's lead (according to CNN) stretches to 137 today. It was 133 the morning after the Pennsylvania primary.

^however, CNN is also reporting that in national Polls, Hillary Clinton is closing the gap between herself and Obama. Admitedly, Polls are polls, but it is interesting.

Obama's former pastor just won't go away.

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/pol...a.outraged.cnn

It so happens that I agree with a lot of what Rev. Wright says but he'd be advised to keep it amongst a small circle of friends and not address these opinions to the nation while Obama is running and seemingly connected to him.

Man has issues.

I guess his 10 seconds of fame wasn't enough. He has his right to say anything he wants. If Obama has a problem with it, he should have done damage control before he asked him to work on his campaign with him, or before he let him get involved with his life.

Major Clinton Backer Switches To Obama

Quote:
(CNN) — Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Joe Andrew — who was appointed to that post in 1999 by then-President Clinton — is withdrawing his endorsement of Hillary Clinton, and backing Barack Obama instead.

Andrew, who made a Thursday morning appearance at Obama's state headquarters in Indianapolis, said the time had come to "heal the rift in this party and unite behind Barack Obama now."

Huge endorsement for Obama and a real blow for Clinton. Things seem to be close to the breaking point now.

DELEGATE UPDATE!

Total Delegates:

Clinton 1592
Obama 1732 (140 ahead)

Pledged Delegates:

Clinton 1332
Obama 1491(159 ahead)

Superdelegates:

Clinton 260 (19 ahead)
Obama 241

Obama's lead widens to 140 delegates (was 133 post Pennsylvania primary).

Clinton's lead in superdelegates shrinks to just 19. At this rate it seems that it is only a matter of time before Obama leads in that category as well.

Since Obama never did either of those things, I guess his work is done.

Wright WAS involved with Obama for years. His pastor, mentor whatever. And he WAS involved in his campaign.

It almost seems like Wright is intentionally acting like an idiot to try and hurt Obama.

The whole issue should have blown over already, but for some reason it isn't.

It is true that Obama attended Wright's church for years. I suppose one can infer from that whatever one likes about Obama's political beliefs. On that note, I suppose it's about equally valid to infer that any republican friend of Billy Graham's is an anti-semite, or that any politician who has been friendly with Jerry Falwell also believes that 9/11 was God's punishment for the secularization of American society.

But Wright has never held an official position with the Obama campaign. Honestly, I agree that it's weird that this hasn't blown over. But obviously there's an interest in keeping it in the spotlight, for some reason. I personally think it's pretty silly.

Not true. He's not anymore, but he was Barack's spiritual adviser.

March 15 (Bloomberg) -- The Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr., whose sermons raging against the U.S. have sparked controversy, is no longer formally tied to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's campaign, an Obama spokesman said late yesterday.

Is "spiritual advisor" an official position?

If Jerry Falwell would have been McCain's pastor until he died....everyone would be up in arms about it.

He is as fundamental as they come, and nobody who wants to be POTUS should even have remotely close views to that.

But he isn't.

The issue at hand is Obama and Wright. Obviously, Obama thought he has clarified his relationship with Wright after the original debacle, but it doesn't seem like it.

Now Wright is acting like an even bigger ass. Even saying that Obama is doing the things he is because he's a politician, and not because he's 'different.' Pretty damning when someone who has been close to Obama for over 20 years comes out and tells people he is no different from any other politician.

Yet 'hope and change'....is his campaign slogan.

Interesting that you bring that up. What if McCain had a spiritual advisor who had called on Americans to "make war on Islam" in order to eradicate it from the planet as a "false religion"? One who claims that Mohammed was guided by Demons and that "Allah was a demon spirit"? Or what if McCain was endorsed by another spiritual leader who called the Catholic church "the great whore"?

The thing is, both of those things did happen. And if "spiritual advisor" is an official campaign position (it isn't--the very idea is ludicrous), then surely we should be hearing calls for McCain to repudiate both of these men. But on that topic, the silence from the mainstream media is deafening.

Personally, I don't think either candidate should be held responsible for what another person believes That's just attacking someone by proxy because you don't have good grounds for attacking them directly. But why doesn't the same standard apply to McCain's spiritual leaders?

I'll give you a hint. It's because they can't jump.
