I watched my roommate play it before I went to bed last night and it looked just amazing, I was very entertained just watching it unfold

The graphics are stunning

Gamespot was outed as the most corrupt gaming review site a few months back when they were the only site to inexplicably give "Kane and Lynch" a rating over 7 (I think they gave it something ridiculous like an 8). People wondered why the only site that gave it a good review also happened to have advertisements for the game plastered all over their website. Needless to say, a bunch of people quit and the Gamespot reviews are something of a joke now.

A fairly legitimate point is often made that it is possible that gamespot isn't necessarily the most corrupt, but rather just make their bribes a lot more obvious then the other sites.

hahaha the crazy thing is, from the neck up, that girl looks EXACTLY like my girlfriend's sister, especially the smile. I was over there last weekend and was totally looking at her differently because of your avy

As for the game, I'm still rockin the PS2 and initially was gonna wait until next year to get the XBox360. But after seein this review, I could see me crackin and pickin one up in the next couple months. Incredible!

Am I the only one that finds the new driving model of the cars to be a bit too "bouncy"? Seems like I'm driving a beach ball at times, would love to have seen the Burnout physics in here.

Tip: The Faustino Russian Mob dude has a Ferrarri in the driveway to the side of the house. Mega fast and fun to tear around town in.

They originally put up a 9.5, but changed it to a 10 with-in an hour or two. Very fishy. As was said above Gamespot has lost a lot of respect for the Kane and Lynch fiasco.

Either way, GTA IV is a great game. I don't think it's a 10/10 or a better game than Ocarina of Time. I think that's reserved for a game that redefines gaming and is extremely polished. GTA IV is as polished as anything out there, but it doesn't stray too much from the standard GTA formula.

When I go to Gamespot I'm plastered with a HUGE GTA IV ad. No wonder they changed it from a 9.5 to a 10.

favorite part so far is the first time i noticed the very large blood smears on my car when i ran over a crowd of people. it's the attention to detail with things like that that make GTA such a fun game. but i still don't really agree with the perfect 10 ratings, sure it's the best GTA yet but the formula is still the same. Gamespot should have stuck with their 9.5 rating, that's what i'd give it

I have a question about the Xbox Live free month card that came with GTA...I used to be a subscriber to LIVE, but didn't renew when it expired. I planned to in the future, so I think I still have some credits on there for downloads and whatnot...if I use this free card, can I apply it to my current Xbox Live username, and will the credits that I had on there, still be there?

MP was awesome last night. I couldn't stop playing or laughing my arse off. Damn it's funny when four guys get in the same car and start doing drive-by's in the team deathmatch and you smoke them with a rocket launcher. Bodies go flying everywhere!!

The only beef I have is that it's relatively difficult to do the invite thing, for instance in Ghost recon for XBOX I could go to whatever game my friend was in and talk to him from the lobby, see how much time was left, and wait a few minutes to join. Now it's just kind of hard because half the time I got an invite last night I was in a game and then when I got out and sent an invite no one would show probably because they were in games.

I think I also need a blue tooth headset or something because that would make it even better.

MP was pretty great last night! It was funny, I managed to get one of my buddies into my game. Took me a while to find him, but when I finally did we spent a little time trying to find a nice car. Once we found it we both got in and just before we drove off, FanIn80 ran up to the side of our car and Ak-47'd us through the window. I had no idea he was even in the game!

Sorry we couldn't get a game going Rhettzky, I realize we were trading invites there for a while. The problem I found was that I was trying to invite you and my other buddy into a private match, and I was sitting there twiddling my thumbs waiting for you two to accept. I eventually called my buddy and he said it was telling him that the room was unavailable.

Once I got into to game though it was much easier. Next time one of us should just jump into a game of our own choosing and invite from there . . . or we should designate ahead of time who will be the inviter.

Sony is bringing an xmb (cross media bar) patch at some point that will allow us to access it in-game so we can at least send messages to each other. Not as good as live, but it would solve massive communication issues. Definitely the #1 problem with the ps3 right now!

Yeah no kidding. I love the MP, and I don't usually ever bother with MP.

Incoming invites are kinda wonky. If you're not really paying attention, you can completely miss it - as was the case twice last night for me. I got an invite from you that I missed (by the time I finally saw it, it was too late) and from someone else.

I like how Live's invite system works. When I'm in a game and someone invites me, I get this huge non-game bubble that pops up on my screen - I'd have to be pretty blind to miss it.

Haha, I had no idea that was you!

One of my favourite parts last night was someone (no clue who) was driving up to me on a scooter, so I shot him, hopped on the scooter and turned around to take off... only to get completely splattered by someone coming at me full speed in a truck lol.
