NSA tells me each game will start with our captain and role model, Aeneas, flipping a coin with our opponents captain. Winner is home team. I like our chances at least half the time!

Don't we play the same team twice? Then the home team is away second game? Makes the whole coin toss frivilous.
Just an excuse for the whole handshake ritual. Rhettzky better get this quote:
"A handshake is just a subtle f you"

Believe it or not most Sundays we play two different teams, sometimes on two different diamonds. The first Sunday is a bit of an anomaly.

Ah that's the only one I looked at! Good, I like playing two different teams. The best is when you get the same diamond twice.
Rhettzky: good job, knew I could count on you. Well, my dog is looking at me, so I am,
"going for A Walk!"

So we'll have our shirts for Sunday or are we just wearing Flames jerseys?
This should be good. Bad News for Good Times!!

Should probably give everyone a heads up now. I'm going to missing the first 3 weekends in June. In Victoria for the first two and Nashville for the third.

If you need subs ever, and you can't find suitable friends or colleagues, make sure you check CP. I am willing to play a game or two for the SW team should they need someone to show them correct playing techniques.

Got all the name-bars names except for OBS. Can someone get ahold of him?

Hey all,
Anybody interested in a warmup tonight. As in a double header at Optimist? Prefer male, outfielder, but will work with whatever.
My other team runs lean, as in we have only 8 guys for 7 spots on the field, and when things go poorly (one guy moving, one guy sick, one guy late) we can get short in a hurry.
For the first game, you could just be the DH if you want. The second game you would have to play and hit.
Luckily (when we are shorthanded) we play the overall champions from last year, and the finalists. That sentence should be green.

Well sorry to say but I have veto'd the namebars. Don't mean to make a decision for the whole group but I had to get the order through and they wanted $2.00 per letter and that practically doubles the cost of the shirts. So needless to say we're just getting the logo and numbers.
An idea I had while talking to the lady at CSS was to maybe find some iron-on letters and doing it ourselves. That way if someone was to leave the team we could just heat the letters off the shirt and there ya go. Anyway, I did have a quote to get some done from Tuxedo for 50 cents a letter but I think at this point we should just get the shirts and play some ball. As it is we won't have them for two to three games.
The shirts themselves look good, they do look a little on the cheap side but they should last us for a few seasons at least.
