That pic from Calgary wasn't during the finals, in fact it wasn't during the run at all. It was regular season and I don't even think it was the 03/04 season, but I could be wrong.
I love watching streakers get tackled at football game. Kinda funny. Especially when the cops or security can never seem to catch them, then one of the players they run by just kinda sticks out their arm or takes three steps towards them and boom they go down like a sack of bricks.
Not that I'm advocating violence towards streakers, I've always thought it to be pretty funny and generally harmless. I guess they don't want it happening too often and of course there is the section of people that always cries, 'what about the kids!' so they have to crack down on it pretty hard.
But it don't bother me at all. I was at the game when the guy in the red socks went for a run, or rather, dive. As we all remember what happened when he got off the glass.
Man, the guy right above mustache man...he still makes me laugh. Just stares directly at streaker guy...everybody else is laughing/horrified, and there he is, just a steady stare into the streaker's junkal area.

It almost looks like he's trying to see what going on, on the ice - looking past the streaker.
I've been told that fella is from the Provost area.
Too bad that isnt captured on video or at least a series of pictures showing the event... I've only heard stories about him knocking himself cold and only seen this shot and him on the stretcher.
One has to admire how perfect that pic worked out, the partitions in perfect place. And the people don't seem to be too angry about the whole thing, most are really enjoying it.
Haha... I was at that game. It was the season before Iggy's 52 goal season. We were playing Boston and Thornton wasn't playing that night... since most people in the dome were only there to see the other team's stars (man, did we suck that season), this streaker was the highlight of the evening... especially when he landed on the ice and his feet shot straight out in front of him... he hit the ice and knocked himself out and was carried off in a stretcher!

The best part is my sister and I used to work in the same office, so she got a hold of this picture a few weeks later (I think it was in McLeans Magazine) and stuck my face on the dude and emailed it to the entire office...

The more I look at the staring guy, the more I laugh. Streakers suck. I was at that game the night this pic was taken. Thank God I was not sitting there. Streakers suck. But for some stupid reason make you laugh in the moment.
