				 Food Poisoning

I'm assuming I got food poisoning. Anyone got any tips, other than letting it run its course. This is my first time.
I've been throwing up since 4:15am with a real bad case of the runs and with major stomach cramps/pain

Bring a bucket into the bathroom with you, or some other way to prepare to vomit from both ends simultaniously.
Drink plenty of water to prevent de-hydration.

Other than that I just let it run its course.

No solid foods. Clear broths only, preferably water only until some of the symptoms subside. Flat gingerale is ok.
Once you can keep that down, introduce one very bland food at a time.

That might be applesauce or applejuice, a bit of banana, soup crackers or plain cooked rice, plain lightly toasted bread, nothing that has a lot of fibre and puts stress on your gastro system.

When I was in Cancun my first time, I was incredibly wasted and ate a hamburger off from a buffet tray sitting on the floor next to the restaurant 'cause I was so hungry. Needless to say, I spent the remaining time of my vacation bed-ridden and writing in pain.
Drink lots of water! It will help flush out your system.

Stick to the B.R.A.T. diet Bananas, applesauce, rice, toast. Very bland stuff, clear fluids, LOTS of water. Once your stomach settles down, even a little gingerale would be ok... try mixing it with a bit of water at first if your stomach is still upset. Rest lots, and let it run its course. Hope you feel better soon !!

I got that when I was germany. The whole day I drank nothing but water and OJ, and slept the entire day. You will be almost back to normal tonight, but you wont feel 100% for a few days. Just let it run its course.

Stay away from spicy food and get some diareah medicine... for it's going to be a rough stage 2.
Also, be prepared to feel funked up for at least a week. I feel for you, man. I hate food poisoning. It's why I'll never eat at Edo again.

Gatorade, crackers, oranges are what worked for me when I last had it. It should run its course within 24-48 hours.
On the plus side, it's a really quick way to lose weight!

wtf! Are you trying to kill him? Everybody knows it needs to be a spicy baconator to do any good. You'll know you've done it right if you can hear the muffled cries of your colon.

My biggest (actual) recommendation is Gatorade to get those electrolytes rolling.

Pedialite. I don't know if that's how it's spelled. It's for kids but it restores your electrolytes and makes you feel way better. Without it you're going to feel way worse! I hear Gatorade does a great job too. Drinking water is the last thing you should do. It actually gets rid of your electrolytes when you are sick. Any doc will tell u to NOT drink water.

Yup, gatorade, as many mentioned. It's pretty much exactly like pedialyte, yeah, I don't know how to spell it either, but it tastes better.

Hmmm I got food poisoning from a place at the u of c that Jiri doesn't want me to mention. I remember trying to sleep lots. As weird as it sounds, the only time I wasn't having it come out of either/both ends was when I was asleep.
You have to let it run its course. Toast with butter, toehr than that dont eat anything. Drink chamomile tea or even better, wormwood (go look it up, i imagine a health food place or pharmacy maybe has it).

Not fun - I feel for you.

I think I got it from the same aforementioned U of C fine dining establishment that shall go unnamed.

Its not a fun experience. I highly recommend the self-prescribed chemically-induced coma.
