This thread is useless without pictures. I don't have the mental capacity to picture the dam based on those images

Yay for beavers!

How slack is that job. Google Earthing all day for beaver dams.

And you know he needed a degree to do it too.

Often what I thought. You need to spend a lot of time and money and effort getting degrees, so you can get a job that pays well with little time or effort.

On the topic of beavers, there used to be a ton of them even down here in Fish Creek and along parts of the bow. That still true?

OK. I'm sorry, but I had to click on that... Then, once I was there, I had to know what the hell the point of it was.

Turns out, it's a tie-in!

How did the Beaver Girls idea come about? Well a couple of enterprising gals saw a wave of opportunity due to all the fun and positive energy that was created by the Flames Girls and the Red Mile phenomena. They wanted to do something fun that showcases women in a playful and positive light. So, Beaver Girls and Beaver Wear was created.
Ahhh... 2004... the gift that keeps on giving!

Those co-ordinates don't work for me on Google Earth. It plops me down in the middle of a forest...

Works for me. The dam is so large you actually think it's the forest at first. A little north of the dam is a note showing it's features in a diagram.

The one east of it looks a lot larger though (dam perimeter length)

Damn I was expecting so much more from this thread with a title like that.
Oh well beavers are pretty cool and good to know that they could cut water supply to major cities if needed. Could this be the Canadian army's next thing to use?

I couldn't find my own beaver dam. Figures a guy would have to find my beaver dam. And who would have thunk that my beaver dam would be in the middle of bushes and wet lands? Stupid beaver dam! But I'm glad everyone got to see my beaver dam!
