Default Thousands gather to support China in Ottawa

More than 6,000 pro-China demonstrators took to Parliament Hill Sunday afternoon to show support for the Chinese government.
The demonstrators sang patriotic songs and waved flags to show support for a united China.

I am sure they were Canadian songs sung in English and French.

Check out the the comments. My goodness....

At least not everyone is not a useful idiot.

Let me get this straight. The invasion and assimilation of Tibet, by China, was an illusion???
Tibet, a nation of Buddhists, is the aggressor in this????? The Dali Lama wants to sit down and have civil negotiation with China, and he's labeled as a "devil"?????
To all you China/Olympic supporters.
Is there pollution where you live?
Have you no concept of how a tyrannical nation like China operates?
I for one will be boycotting the Olympics, and will try and convince everyone I know to do the same. It' the least the people of Canada can do to call this obvious human rights violation by China, to account.

I was originally from China. It's so shamed to see this kind of demonstration. It is all about Nationalism. Is the whole world wrong and only China is correct??

Despite whatever policies the Chinese political machine pulls, many ordinary Chinese are just trying to be patriotic and sticking together and trying to be proud of something, the average Chinese feels like they are being unfairly attacked and discriminated against by the West which is a very common theme in history.

Umm...if standing up against discrimination means banding together in support of a repressive regime and repeating verbatum the lies that that regime has spewed in the name of pride.....they are pathetic.

As for patriotism....are they not Canadians? I'd say they are expressing their ethnicity. Another grand moment for multiculturalism!

I wonder how many protesters there would be if the Canadian Government said they all must go back and live in China
