Sweet Jesus.

I've never seen any hand held gaming come withing light years of how good that looks.

I gotta see what other games they plan to release for that before I buy though.

I actually had one pre-ordered but cancelled it. It's an awesome, awesome system, but at the end of the day, I just coulnd't justify getting it. I game on Xbox, have a laptop, and don't spend lots of time on planes or transit anymore. I doubt I'd find the need to use it much.

I might have been able to justify it had it been more versatile with respect to web browsing, photo and movie viewing, and offered more than memorystick with respect to storage medium. I know some firmware is in the works to basically turn it into a PDA but until then I just can justify it.

Besides I used the cash for a new Canon Digital Rebel XT!

If I did alot of travelling I would consider getting one but I dont so I couldnt see myself playing it alot. I'm finally considering getting a console though(I want to start playing console only games like wrestling and boxing games) but I'm waiting to see how much XBox 2 and PS3 are going to be before deciding which one to get.

Wow thats pretty awesome but a little to expensive for me at the moment. If I do plan on getting one I'll just wait a bit till the price comes down.. But wow, the graphics and everything look awesome. I'm not to big on handheld games so what probably will happen though is I'll decide not to get one and just save up for PS3 or something like that.

It wouldn't last you a plane or bus ride anyway. Battery life is like 4-5 hours at best depending on the activities that you do, could be as little as 3, and overtime, the charge will hold less and less.

That's the major problem with the PSP. I probably won't invest in one until the savvy people can figure out a way for people to create their own UMD content. The only reason I have a GBA is because I can put my own movies, books, music, and games onto it via flash cartridge.

You can do this with the flash memory, but it's limited by size and price, and also Sony cripplied the video resolution by using the same resolution as their Clie PDAs.

bad thing is sony doesn't cover pixel burn out on them, if i were to get one i'd wait for 2nd gen of it with a better battery life and less glitches but needless to say it does have amazing game play for what it is

Pixels don't burn out unless you damage the screen yourself. Dead pixels are bad from the factory.

I picked one up on a whim from Futureshop. I bought the Gretzky pack (unfortunately) and that has to be the worst game of all time. However, I went yesterday and bought Ridge Racer which I have come to find is easily the best racing game I have ever played for any system including consoles. The amount of games coming out eventually looks promising.

As a matter of fact, if any CPers want the Gretzky game, send me a PM.

Not true... Sony will be fixing screens if people need them, read it at Gamespot.com... I have a couple but you really can't notice them unless it's against a black background and if you're in the dark. And you really don't see them when you're playing games. But for paying $400 for something you'd expect it to be without flaws so I plan to take advantage of their repair offer. Bad thing is you have the pay shipping yourself

Takes about 2 weeks IIRC to send it in and be fixed.
