I live on the hill in Deer Ridge.
Got as far as the Croation Church and stopped........for about 15 minutes.
Turned around and went home.....
Tried to call work but no one answered.
Maybe I'll give er another go in a bit.

That's one thing I dont miss about Calgary...spring snowstorms.
I remember back in I think 2001, we got a late May snowstorm which was so bad that I couldnt even make it up that hill off MacLeod Tr going to Millrise. Good times.

I work at 1:00 today. Almost thinking I might wait until 11 and see if it's let up or not. If it hasn't, I may contemplate staying home, though I really doubt it.

hmmm, Calgary beats San Jose last night despite being a heavy underdog.
Snows in Calgary covering the streets with ice and snow

Either hell has frozed over or its a sign of the end of the world
Now excuse me while I go and buy a loaf of bread and some mustard. I'm expecting a pig to fly through my office window shortly.

Am I the only one that made it to work today? I left at 7:05 and arrived fat work at 8:50.
The commute was from Cougar Ridge (just above COP in the SW) to 32nd and Deerfoot.
I actually turned around trying to get down bow trail and went back through springbank (officially out of calgary) to get to the highway and that helped a bit and then took lots of back roads or I would of been in traffic for well over 2 hours. My office is a ghost town and people are still filling in slowly.
All in all. Should of stayed home.

Started out in McKenzie Towne at 8:30, drove for a 50 minutes to the traffic circle, then a few more minutes to deerfoot, slid down the ramp to deerfoot and realized I should just pack it in. Deerfoot wasn't moving anyway, came back on 130th, and here I am sitting at home...defeated by the weather.

Left at 7 for a 2 and half hour drive to the University, and my Prof didn't show up.

From McKenzie Towne to 64AVe and Deerfoot, it took me 2 hours and 35 mins. I left at 7:00 and arrived at 9:35 I now hold the record at work for the longest morning commute.
There are only 3 out of 11 staff here. I should have stayed home.

I am so proud of myself. I went from Signal Hill to the Airport in 45 minutes at 815am. It took all my 20 years of calgary back roads to do it.
Of course by the time we got there the plane was cancelled. haha
