Well that was bizarre. Johnny couldn't handle the internet and went off the virtual deep end.

Anyway, my workplace is pretty good for a large corporation. Workplace casual, pretty relaxed both before and after my manager left to seek psychiatric help, and I have been surfing the net for days because somehow my access got screwed up and I can't get onto any of the company systems.

My office is also very much like Initech (except my boss is much better than Bill Lumberg) and our software is for the banking industry.

Man I missed all the action as i was watching the lame excuse of TSNs playoff preview

this thread pwns!

anywho, my work environment is pretty laid back, I spend alot of my day surfing CP (on mondays anyways...helps make the day go by that much faster) just as long as I reach my yearly target I dont think anyone really cares, and my work load tends to be very seasonal as well, so the summer months is about being proactive to generate new business (I can envision going on many networking golf trips) while the fall/winter it tends to walk in the door more often than not

Dress code is business casual at the very least, so I dont necessarily have to do the whole suit and tie thing every day, just dress pants and a collared shirt. Previously I could wear my flames jersey on playoff dates, not sure about my new office/region though.

I think in my own weird way I'm going to miss Johnny. And it would have been awesome to get free legal advice from all his connections.

don't worry. I'm sure he has a lawyer friend who specializes in getting people unbanned from internet websites.

We only have 6 employees and we all get along great so it seems like we're just one big family. When somebody is having a personal problem everyone is there to help them out if they need it.

Now I'm going to get sued because I started this thread! Guess, I'm going to counter sue because of all the emotional stress of having somebody take my thread off topic.

I am the only person (of 11) that isn't planning to retire within the next 5 years. Sometimes it's tough to relate, and it definitely isn't as fun as my last job, where I was the second youngest (outside of the partners). Way less stressful, though, so that's good.

I wonder if the Oiler and Canuck organizations could sue icarus for his creepy signature??

The day people can get sued for being creepy on the internet will be a sad day indeed!

On topic, my work environment is pretty cool, my boss leaves me alone, job security excellent, except I have to hang around with 500 teenagers every day.

* - I don't literally think fotze is this guy.

hilarious thread...lol

I work nights so no dress code for me. It's a little hectic at the moment as our place is expanding, so lot's of construction going on. Other then that it's alright. The people who I work with (about 6-7 others) are great, however they all have attendance problems (except for my brother, who works with me also). The boss is really awesome. I asked her if I can come in late on gamenights (just Flames games) until the Playoffs are over, and I think she'll let me. I usually start at 9 pm so I asked if 11 would be a good time for me to come in lol...I hope their are no OT games!

There's an interesting mix of older-going-to-retire-in-less-than-10-years higher ups and a bunch of others around my vintage with a couple spattered in between. The staff here is generally pretty friendly and helpful. I get along great with all of them though that can't really be said for the relationships here between everyone.

Dress code is business casual with casual Fridays. However, I've always got to be ready to spring in to action at a moment's notice so my office is full of suit jackets and ties. Plus I have a gown in the closet for extra special occasions when you need to dress fancy.

I joke around more than I should and spend too much time on CP. Those things are probably secretly frowned upon but I assume when my office door is closed people think I'm just taking a nap anyway.

I work for a smaller company that severly silo'd. Dress for most is casual, but I don't know how to dress casual any more so its a suit and tie for me.

There are bursts of extreme business followed by periods of extreme boredom. The sales cycle on what we do is extremely long which drives me up the wall.

For the most part people just put their heads down and work, there's little in the way of casual conversation. And only one hockey fan besides myself in the bunch (mostly girls)
