Funny this thread should come up. The powers that be just bought us a new conference table. It's very nice but so what right? That's what I thought. Guess what? The top flips over and converts into a freaking poker table with padded arm rests. They then take us into the Sales Managers office to show us our new beer fridge...fully stocked. I kid you not. I knew we had a good year last year but this was an unexpected gesture of good will.

Not a bad Monday.

I would love to just watch one kid!!! Its when they unite that they become scary.. Mob mentality starts early.

When I grow up I want to be an internet Lawyer, so I can go around slapping lawsuits against all the slanderous people on the internet. First I need a PI to figure out who these people with fake names really are though.

Not the first over-reaction though... Think back to the "Who did you vote for?" thread about the Alberta Provincial election...

I was the designated parent for four years, so chid's job sounds eerily familiar.

I'm presently in a job that deals with federal tax, so it's pretty stressful right now. I needed a phone number to call a co-worker, and I asked my immediate supervisor, who's a pretty heavy-duty music fan. The number didn't work, and I realized I was punk'd when I looked at the number..............867-5309.

Hostile, intimidating and petty.

I work in an office that allows me to cruise CP through most of the day, so it can't be that bad.

Well, what's my office like? Quite laid back but when things need to be done, they need to be done now. You just kinda got to roll with the punches.

Are you serious? Have you yourself been a victim of workplace violence? I know a good lawyer who I can put you in touch with, he specializes in workplace harassment lawsuits.

He could probably get the guys in the office to quit calling me 'hot stuff' and saying 'hey good-lookin' to me too, however, I like to go with the flow... (And I'm not talking Aunt Flow...) It's part of what makes working where I work so unique.

Firefly, workplace violence is not okay under any circumstances. If you really have had to roll on the floor because you're been punched, it's time to stand up for yourself and take legal action.

Really? Cause I work for the Flames and they get hit all the time... why shouldn't I too? Take one for the team and all that.
