I don't know if anyone has seen it but 'Gone Baby Gone' was a very emotional film. Actually the movie was very underrated, one of the best movies of last year. Much better than the awful ' There Will Be Blood' which someone else said made them cry.

I cry at almost any sappy/sad movie, but Schindler's List takes the cake. I think I started crying about 20 minutes into the movie, and I was still sobbing by the time I got home from the theatre, which was 45 minutes from home. Forrest Gump was on TV a few weeks ago and I just lost it at the end of it too - I remembered it being sad, but not THAT sad. I'll chalk some of my crying up to PMS.

Terms of Endearment . . . Last time I saw it was about three weeks after my father passed away from cancer. . . big mistake . . . I'd seen it many times before but my sister hadn't . . . needless to say she was really upset at me for letting her watch it.

You guys notice a trend here?

A LOT of the movies being mentioned are not very recent. What is wrong with Hollywood?

Well when you include every movie ever made, the statistical chances that a movie will be recent are very small. I agree with you that Hollywood puts a lot of stinkers out there, but I don't think that's anything new.

Fortunately, now with the Internet its easier than ever to find movies you're more likely to enjoy.

Nothing really. This was the best year for movies in so long.

Friday Night Lights, when Mojo loses the State Championships and Billingsley's dad gives him his state championship ring, I tear up every time.
Forrest Gump, when Forrest is talking to Jenny's grave.
Into the Wild, when "Alex Supertramp" leaves Ron, I lost it.

I just watched "He Was A Quiet Man", starring Christian Slater, Elisha Cuthbert, and William H. Macy. Watching this movie, I have never cried so much. I feel so bad for Slater's character throughout the entire film...just a sad, sad story.

Yeah I was on a flight watching that movie...trying hard not to start balling uncontrollably at the end. The last 20 minutes or so are pretty intense.

^ Yeah, Into The Wild was great and it was tough when he leaves Ron. I also was on a plane when I saw this.

I nominate...

Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol.
