Here's the synopsis:

Bob and Gail Jones are expecting their first child, but Bob has been diagnosed with kidney cancer which will possibly take his life before his child is born. Heartbroken at the prospect of not ever getting to know his child, he decides to make a video about himself and his life so that his child will know him.

I chose to view it in a more positive light. Without being specific to avoid ruining it for anyone, all this crud happens, but he still finds a way to stay 'up.' I seem to be alone in that, most find it really depressing and sad.


I must be the only person that didn't cry at The Notebook. I shed a tear reading the book, but the movie didn't have the same emotion for me. I hate saying that, being one of those "the book was better" people, but for me, it really was...

Only movie I've ever cried watching was the end of American History X.

But Schindler's List was probably the saddest. That or Spiderman 3, thanks for ruining a once proud franchise Sam Raimi.

Haven't cried in a movie, but one of the saddest/disturbing movies I have seen is actually Rambo 4 (up until he goes Rambo, then it's just awesome)... the Genocide images shown in that movie... over the top, but that s*** actually happens out there. Disturbing to say the least.

The SO rented it, and I will watch anything. Man, it starts out sad and depressing, then just gets worse. Very strong movie.
