John has had a very good year in Kootney. He has taken more of a leadership role with the team and has come along way this year.
He is probably the steal of the 3rd round. A great skater and puck moving defenceman, who plays well on the PP, but as with most kids needs to work on his getting stronger to play in the NHL. He is definitely ready for the next level though, (AHL). I wouldn't be surprised if he played in the AHL next year, and I wouldn't be surprised if he played in the WHL again. He might be a darkhorse to play for the World Junior team in Ottawa.
I have only seen him play 6 games this year and I suspect I will see more of him in the next couple of weeks in the WHL playoffs.
