*groan*. You can wear whatever you like. White Flames jersey, pink jersey. It doesn't matter. As long as you're there to support the team. In fact, if you wear the opposition's jersey, that is okay too.
Just because you wear red, doesn't mean you're a bigger fan. Yes, it would be nice to have everyone wear red, but I would rather have the crowd loud, than red.
I don't own a road jersey, but if I did, I would wear it to a playoff game just to piss off all the "red nazis"
|
RED, RED, RED.
If I'm a ######, so be it, but you aren't supporting the team with white/purple/whatever. The goal is to make the dome an intimidating place to play. It helps inspire our team when it sees a fanbase which is united with them and it intimidates the opposition.
Sorry GQ, but you don't support them. Save the non-red clothes for an Usher concert.

why put Commodore, Leopold, or Hamrlik in the don't wear category? all 3 were instrumental for this team in their time here and didn't leave on bad terms

Running for your life from an angry fan base will probably burn more calories than any work out ever will. You might want to consider the pants if you refuse the red.

How is someone that buys an expensive ticket, wears his white jersey, Flames hat, foam finger, horn, and cowbell, screaming at the top of his lungs, not supporting the team?

There is always some ###### in the front row behind the players bench wearing brown...ALWAYS.
It's not the same person, just some knuckleheads out there that don't get it.

....he's not wearing red and, therefore, is obviously a huge pansy.

Do the Flames look in the crowd and see someone wearing white and think they are supporting the team? Probably not. Chances are you'd be confused with a Detroit fan (an important distinction if we do indeed play them).
They see someone sticking out like a sore thumb.
Someone else can/will buy that ticket/merchandise if you don't.

Okay. Then that fan must be a fan of the opposition then? Even though he's decked out in Flames gear?
Looks like I'm fighting a losing battle, so I'll give up.
Good thing I can't afford playoff tickets. Looks like I'll be watching the games on HNIC

No, it is not okay. If you are fortunate enough to have playoff tickets, then please cooperate with others by wearing red to the game.

But if you refuse to wear red, it means you are a bigger jerk.

Please refer to the part where I mention that people who purposefully refuse to wear red to a Flames playoff game as being jerk.
P.S. Please exchange "jerk" for your choice of a number of inappropriate and obscene put-downs

So if the Flames look into the crowd and sees a red Wings jersey, what will the Flames player think then?

Hey, I went to six home games in 2004 and rocked the red everytime, but if someone just got a brand new white RBK Flames jersey and wanted to wear it, I see nothing wrong with that

He just blends into the crowd, ergo supporting the Flames. I'd rather you wear a red wings jersey than a white Flames one.
Honestly GQ, think of it this way: If Huselius doesn't backcheck on 1/10 plays because he is lazy, is he doing everything he can to win? No, he isn't. By not wearing red, you aren't contributing to the atmosphere of making the dome an intimidating place to play.

You're right. So the Flames will know that I'm supporting them and the opposition will be intimidated by my red jersey.

And with that same logic (when asked if going to wear white):
Yeah, because we are playing an away game at the dome.

Why is Oliwa on your "can wear" list?
You support women beaters?
