Weren't they already mathematically eliminated by that point? Or were you having premonitions for the following season..?

Mine's a short form of my last name: Chidley.
I've got lots of good nicknames from it but I like simplicity of chid.

Mine's from when I went to sign up for my first message board back in about '01, cbssportsline.com, specifically for the NFL board. I wanted a name to represent my Saints, but "Saints" was taken. So I threw the # I always wore in sports, but "Saints7" was also taken. I sometimes refer to the Saints as "my Sainters", so Sainters7 was born. I've just become so used to the name that I now use it for all the sports boards I've joined over the years.

In the 04 playoffs the Flames were all the rage. I just kinda thought it was a cool phenom that our city was so starved for years that the entire population went crazy. I also used to like a song called All the Rage.

mine is my initials, plus the number I wore for my first rec hockey team... I was not paying attention when I was signing up online, thinking I could create a different alias than my user ID ... guess I was wrong...

I would rather my alias be Chetwyndite (which is where I was born/raised)... any helpful mods want to help me change my name?

This comes up every couple of months:

http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthr...r+runs+through

http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthr...nted+by+waters

Like many fly fishermen in western Montana where the summer days are almost Arctic in length, I often do not start fishing until the cool of the evening. Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise. Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of those rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters. [Norman Maclean]

I was formerly "BaronInEdmonton" until someone at the minor league baseball team I worked for noticed the BaronInEdmonton posting on NLfan.com was possible the guy named Baron in the pressbox. Days later, after a vetting process with the wife, two random words were thrown together. Crusader, so I could baasterdize the Cleveland Crusader logo and Pi, because pi is awesome. Thusly CrusaderPi was born.

I chose a name that would seem utterly mundane, and without any special relation to me.

Mine is pretty self-explanatory as well.
My second job is as a Rink Rat and the number 13 is one of my favorites, thus RinkRat13.
