All you fans of the Ricky Gervais podcasts- I have (sort of) good news. If you search "Ricky Gervais" on ITunes there are four new podcasts available for free download, the newest of which is from Jan '08. I hadn't revisited Ricky, Steve, and Karl since the "Podfather" series in late 2006, so these were a surprise to me. More Karl Pilkington is never a bad thing.
Hopefully these guys come back with another series of podcasts this year- anytime I need a laugh they always come through. And these newer ones are quite funny.
If you haven't checked these out before and are a fan of Ricky/Steve (The Office UK, Extras), try searching around for a place you can download the original three series of podcasts. You'll be happy you did.
Some new updates on Karl, as well as Ricky's new movie projects, from rickygervais.com, which is where I found the link for these videos. If you're in this thread, and haven't heard "Monkey News" before, you're in for a treat.
I am in the process of downloading and listening to every show Ricky, Steve, and Karl did starting in 2002 or so on XFM in London. They are absolutely awesome. I can't get enough Karl Pilkington.
How exactly do I find these podcasts from 2008? Does anyone have the exact title of them, because I can't seem to find them. I didn't even know they had some from 2008.

Do you also consider "Family Matters", "Jeff Foxworthy" and/or "King of the Hill" treats?
I had to turn away at points because is was so devoid of humor... Ricky Gervais is brilliant but that is just 0/10 IMHO.

That's bollocks. You're an idiot.*

Ugh, Jeff Foxworthy and King of the Hill in the same sentence?
Both are such different kinds of humor and you're really showing total ignorance when comparing King of the Hill to a typical family sitcom and typical redneck humor.
Just because King of the Hill is set in the south doesn't mean it has anything in common with Jeff Foxworthy and the blue collar comedy tour etc.

Be embarrassed.
Oh, please. I only had those 3 listed because they represent everything that is wrong with society today. If you see some tenuous connection between me listing foxworthy and king of the hill, what then would be the reason for me including Family Matters? The fact that some of that refuse overlaps because of geography is irrelevant and incidental. They are crafted for the sub 100 I.Q. club pure and simple.
The only connection, you dullard, is that they are all unfunny. I could just as easily referenced Little Mosque on the Prairie, Perfect Strangers or Small Wonder.
Please do me a favor and name one episode which you consider to be funny and which would clearly expose my ignorance. I would pay 1000 dollars if I even cracked a smile.
[King of the Hill] represents everything that is wrong with society today.
It's obvious you've either never seen the show, or totally don't get the show.
I don't really care if you don't like it - but considering the show to " represent everything wrong with society" is on the other end of the spectrum from King of the Hill.

Stupid question but I honestly do not know the answer.
Are these "podcasts" available anywhere else besides itunes? I've pretty much igore anything the the word "pod" in because I hate ipods and itunes but I am a Gervais fan and would absolutely listen to the mp3s.
I don't think these new ones are on any other website as they are not free. The free one is The Ricky Gervais Podcast, which you can grab right from his website and I have to update on my Nokia cell phone.
IMO, I haven't really enjoyed his podcasts that much. I ended up adding Kevin Smith's SMODcast to my phone and I'm always listening to those. There's a lot more of them and they are all about 52 minutes. Of course you have to be a Kevin Smith fan to enjoy it.
I also fail to see the humour in that at all. That yelling dude is just damn annoying. Not funny annoying. Just aggravating. Though I can see how someone might like the story in itself.
