went a couple years ago to see my friend play, ended up missing him on stage and found the music wasn't to my liking. Too much screamo for my tastes.

Yeah I am not a huge fan of Screamo, I like the Heavy guitar riffs but with a sung lyric.

I definitly like A7X's newer stuff over the screaming of Waken the falling.

What band is your friend in?

thanks for posting this. I'm definitely booking a couple days off for this. Will be at the Edmonton show as well. Wonder what all the youngsters will think of the fat, balding, 40-ish year old dude there by himself? (I can think of a few things that used to run through my mind when I saw people like this at shows when I was younger, and one of those thoughts was never that they were there to enjoy the music )

Really. I love Waken the falling. Only album that I like from them. Don't like Atreyu's new stuff either. Bullet for my Valentine finally have new stuff out? I may end up going to the Edmonton show. Gone in past years and it is usually a good show.

Dont get me wrong, I like WTF, I thought City of Evil was better. I dont really like Sounding the Senventh Trumpet. Though Too much screaming... Same with Trivium... I like the Guitarists and they are great... then the guy screams and ruins it for me...

I bought the new A7X CD and I was a little shocked at first because after the first 3 tracks it kinda goes in a different direction then past albums but it has really grown on me.. Gunslinger, Scream, A little Piece of Heaven, are all great in a totally different kind of way.

This is my first time going to the TOC tour... How long does it run? Not worried about it, just that I live 2 hours from Edmonton so I need to plan a little

Surprised they aren't going to eastern Canada, though. Then again, I didn't think they were coming to Canada at all at one point.

He left the band shortly after and i don't think i ever got the name, it was one of those last minute "I'm playing tomorrow at the dome, be there" kind of things.

I may go to see Avenged and Bullet for my Valentine. Not to fond of Atreyu's new stuff. Liking the new Bullet the more I listen to it.

Im getting pretty pumped about this show... A7X are one of my favorite newer bands.
