People call it "Ultimate" because Frisbee is the brand name of the discs that used to be used. They've since went to a different brand name disc so they changed the name to "Ultimate"

Of all the things mentioned in this thread I only own Uggs and the only reason I do is because my feet were so swollen, they were the only things other than Crocs I could get my feet into. I hated that they were all I could wear and I hated wasting $150 on something I'd use for one month only. They're stupid looking. There are other warm cozy things you can wear on your feet that aren't as ghey. If you weren't such a slave to 'fashion' perhaps you'd realize that they aren't 'cool', they're just ugly.
So I guess the fads I hate are clothing related... Wear what looks good, not what's 'in'. If it looks good, it's in.
And, btw, I have small sunglasses. Why? Because the big ones look ghey. Also, my face shape looks better with small ones. I don't need to hide my face and pretend I'm a diva. I'm not a diva and my face is fine. Perhaps you should ask yourself what you're hiding your face from.

I would actually argue that people who wear uggs are not slaves to fashion as uggs are about the least fashionable thing someone could wear. Anyways I don't know why so many people up hear wear them as winter boots. Didn't they start in Australia as something surfers used after they came out of the water to warm their feet up?

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I've never seen anyone wearing Uggs before. Then again, I don't pay attention to other people very often, especially their footwear. I will say, though, that ugly boots wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. Boots can come off.

I guess the jury's still out on whether Facebook is a fad. If it is, then I can say that I hope the next generation of myspace/facebook type things excludes the status updates. I am sitting front row, center watching two of my friends (a couple) fight publicly through status updates. Does it get any more pathetic than that?
edit to add that I actually have two sets of friends (couples) that do this. I feel embarrassed for all of them.

I can't believe some of the crap people are bringing in, like RHD minivans ect.. WHY?
Facebook is definately a fad, I never check mine anymore. The whole status update thing is pathetic, does anyone actually care..? I also love the desperate to seem popular people, who invite 75+ people they know won't show up to their birthday party to create the illusion they have friends.

I found out on facebook that my roomate and his girlfriend who also lived with us, broke up and she was moving out and thus rent was increased. I apparently had my headphones on while browsing the web on my laptop, when they had the relationship ending arguement just one room over from me. Of course my buddy's first reaction after she was out the door was to go to his computer to declare their breakup on facebook, as opposed to telling myself and our other roomate what the fata the ruckus in the other room was about.

I will admit I joined facebook, but rarely check it anymore.
My female friends that update their status daily I could care less.
The male friends who update status frequently kind of make me shiver.

Hahaha that's hilarious! I have a buddy who found out his girlfriend dumped him not by her telling him, but by seeing her updated Facebook profile status as "Single". Facebook is the anti-Christ.

Then there's the single people who either don't list their relationship status at all, or do list it and put looking for "Friendship" or "Networking" as their status. Lame! That whole relationship aspect of Facebook should be eliminated, it is a digital hellspawn that provokes unwanted drama.
