I thought it was actually really good. Surprised that it was ranked as bad as it was on RottenTomatoes.
Anybody else see it?

i liked it, but reviews are a pretty subjective thing, i put little stock in them.
the movie did have an extremely similar ending to "prophecy" but besides that i enjoyed every minute, very stylish and dark.

Agreed, I also thought Keanu was great in it. I know alot of people like to jump on him and take shots, but I thought he was perfect in this role.
It was initially supposed to be Nicolas Cage instead, glad he left.

So is this a "scary" type movie? I'm not into Sixth Sense type movies, but the previews for this look pretty cool.

I thought it was a good movie. There is nothing 6th sense type scary. It is really more of a dark comic book type scary, kind of surreal. I don't think it was one of those movies that would make you have bad dreams if you arn't into scary movies.

I know I am the only person who has ever taken issue with what movies are nominated by the Academy.
What the hell was I thinking???

Right, I'm sure Constantine was a close 6th for the Academy nominations... okaay.
It was a pretty good movie, great special effects, and a decent storyline. Better than I thought it would be, and Keanu's 'one style fits all' acting works for this character.

I am not saying it should be nominated for an academy award by any stretch of the imagination, but it was more entertaining than both Ray and Million dollar baby and isn't that really what a movie should be??

I guess that's what you think a movie should be. Hotel Rwanda wasn't 'entertaining', but it was an amazing, fantastic movie. I think the Academy looks a lot more at content, story, and script than special effects and eye-candy, which is what Constantine was.

Hotel Rwanda is a movie I really want to see and assume that it would be entertaining. Not fo rhte same reasons that Constatine was.
The reason I found Ray and Miillion dollar baby not entertaining was because I thought the stories were boring for the most part. Not because they didn't blow enough stuff up.
All I am saying is people too often dismiss movies such as Constantine as being crap because they have ridiculous story lines but often these movies are better than movies that are supposed to have such great stories, dialougue etc.

i can't remember the character, but it was the kid that hung out with him all the time. Well, he died in the movie right? At the end Constantine visits his grave, and he blasts out of the grave with wings. He became an angel!! awwwwwwwwwwwww :P
