I love looking at these on Youtube, SO many gooders. This one was about Bills TE Kevin Everett, who - for you that don't know - suffered near paralysis on a collision in Week 1 this past season.
Guaranteed the bonehead in editing watched the first few seconds, saw a big, athletic-looking black guy in a wheelchair and thought it was the Everett clip, and plugged it in there.
HAHAHA! That is great! I love that its perfectly cued up so that when the sportscasters says "he moved his arms and legs today" the guy is kicking at people! Great find!!!
This isn't so much a gaffe, just a drunk, drunk sportscaster. This was actually a TV broadcast for a San Diego Padres game, but the original clip was pulled off Youtube, and this is all that I could find on there now. It just keeps escalating the longer it goes, hitting a peak of pure unfiltered hilarity by the end. Absolutely classic!

George Clooney??
Bwa ha ha. Well done Rick Sutcliffe. At least he's a happy drunk.
He hits all the right notes. Slurred speech, random gibberish (George Clooney???), tells the guy how great he is. The Drunk Talk Triple Crown.
What did he look like on TV? I'm guessing there was some wavering posture and a loose tie.

Haha oh I know, it belongs in the drunk celebrity HOF. They only showed him briefly, they were mostly showing the game, kinda like when the MNF cast interviews someone during plays. The only time they showed him was from a far angle, like on HNIC when they show the announcing team inside the booth from down below. All I saw was what looked like him still in his golf attire(baseball cap, windbreaker), with a really drunken, goofy grin on his face.
Actually on a side note, I read Sutcliffe was diagnosed with colon cancer just last week.
No, its the Padres' TV commentators, Matt Vasgersian and Jim "Mudcat" Grant. Haha I love at the end when they're desperately tryin to change the subject, but Sutcliffe says all slurred "No no no, Matty...". What a beauty.
