I somehow just got around to listening to the Foo Fighter's latest album. And - holy sheist is it awesome! Top to bottom, it is really good - but I can't stop listening to Let It Die and Long Road to Ruin... great tracks.

Let it Die is my favorite track on the new one for sure. Apparently its what they have been opening the shows with. I can't wait for Sunday!

Don't get me wrong, I love Dave and the Foo Fighters... but how can you honestly say that when wicked bands like this still exist?

That was an amazing show. I remember not getting out of there til 1am.

IMO they've gone WAY downhill since then. I was disappointed at the Saddledome show. It was good, yes, but I felt let down as it didn't compare to the Edmonton show in '03.

Nothing they've come out with since then has grabbed me. It's all been exactly what I've expected. Same ol' same ol'. IMO of course.

I still respect Dave Grohl and the Foos enormously but will not be buying any of their future releases.

How do you know? What if the next album is the best you've ever heard? It could be... it could be.

Serious.. I don't think Taylor Hawkins is very good. Very simplistic for my tastes.

I was sad that Hawkins did the drumming for Coheed and Cambria's last album rather than Chris Pennie getting to.. it would have rocked harder if Pennie was drumming.

The in your honor show was up there with the best live shows i've ever been too. I felt sorry for those in the seats, floor was where you need to be for a foo show. I was crowd surfing and someone ripped my shoe off and launched it onto the stage. Can't wait for this friday, FOO in Edmonton. Its an all FOO ROAD TRIP, can't wait.

I saw their show when I was down in Phoenix for the Flames game at the beginning of the month. It was a really good show, although I haven't seen them live before, so I can't compare it to anything else.

Dave mentioned the last time they were in Phoenix was a tour with Weezer, and he seemed very apologetic about that show, so it mustn't have been one of their best.

Went to the show in Saskatoon tonight, holy sh*$ balls!!! What a show, one of the best area rock shows I've ever been to. Comes very close to G'n'R Use Your Illusions Tour.

Foo Fighters are good at pretending they are a rock band, you have to give Grohl credit there, he gets praise eventhough his stuff is pretty mediocre. If you wanna hear a great (industrial) rock band, check out Genitorturers. Now THAT is rock music.
