Why not just email her back, telling her you're going to cancel her tix, and order reprints which you're then going to sell. She can collect her $100 from your local police station, where her original bills will be attached to a printed copy of the email in which she threatened violence upon you. That way, you have no contract with her of any kind, you haven't retained the money and so haven't sold the tickets twice, and you're free to enter into a new contract with an honest third party.

Mind you. The cops might not be huge on that idea, but hopefully would at least see the humour in it.

Id count it out infront of her prior to handing them over.. After all its not a crack deal, the transaction doesnt need to be in the blink of an eye.. I would find it weird if the person tried to make things speedy, thats when you know something is up..

Very true, although I think that's something you would unfortunately have to learn the hard way(as I'm sure he has). It sounds like he sells his tickets alot, and has never had a problem with it before. So something like this happening was probably the furthest thing from his mind at the time. Unfortunately you need to be guarded because there's alot of douschebags out there. Live and learn...

I know, my downfall was that she was a nice sweet asian lady, and I treated her as such, when I should have had my guard up until the money was in my hand, and then hande her the tickets.

i bought tickets from flamesfireitupin2007 ..... or some wierd screeny like that. i think it was the ny rangers game on jan 2....... problem is he wasnt in town and i had to meet his dad. I was like how will i know who your dad is and he said he will be the one in the turbin lol..... problem was when i got to the mall on deerfoot there was more than one guy in a turbin.... anyway i found him and i counted the money out to him and then took the tickets.......

it was a good deal , partly because i was a lil scared, im from oklahoma ... we dont have alot of people in okc compared to calgary ...... and i have never entered into a deal where the other party told me just to look for the guy in the turbin!!!!!! but they were great tickets row 8 in the 200's i bought them 30 mins b4 game and got the pair for 100 bucks!!!!!!!

That's what you get for stereotyping, in China the street gangs kidnap little children from the villages and saw off their limbs to make them beg in tourist areas for money. The moral of the story is to keep your eyes open and exercise caution when dealing with strangers.

So you sold her TWO tickets? Is that correct? The same ones you advertised here on CP thusly...

Selling for $80.00 for the pair
Those same two tickets that have a face value of $83.24? But cost a STH $59.76?

She paid a C note, which in and of itself is scalping on your behalf....

And you are seriously considering calling them in as lost/stolen? Yeah, go right ahead and do that. Show them all your emails. Call in the cops.

Yeah, karma IS a bitch. Welcome to it. I have never, ever, seen anyone punk themselves so badly on CP before.

What a schmuck.

A schmuk? What are you, are a friggen 12 year old? Yes, they are over face value, and we agreed on the price, it's still much cheaper than most tickets for a game like this out there. She didn't pay the price WE AGREED ON, so I WILL do what I have to, you condescending *******. ...

I don't know for sure, but it sounds like the game talked about in this thread hasn't occurred yet.
Probably different tickets...

If he was indeed trying to scalp, then this is simply a "drug deal" gone back.

He said they're season tickets, so its probably the same seats.

haha this thread quickly turned epic!

Karma worked both ways to you two.
She tried to screw you, and now can't use the tickets.
You tried to screw her, and didn't get your "full" amount.

I give her credit.
She might have said she agrees to pay $300 for these tickets, but something tells me she never really did in her mind. The great thing about this "oral contract" is it means nothing, as it was a contract based on an illegal event.

Like I said, drug deal gone bad. If you tried selling her coke, and she stiffed you on the price, would you be complaining like this on a message board?

or for gas it cost him to deliver tickets to the ladies drop point

yep, looks like karma bit you in the ass as well. I'd just take it as a lesson learned. You still got more for your tickets than face value, and almost double what you paid. Take your medicine and forget about it.

Yikes, remember how I said to call the Flames ticket office to find their take on it. Yeah... I'd probably stay away from that idea.
